A friend of mine told me that if I run 300hp or so I would not be able to take off. He said all the weight would shift to the back and it would be all smoke show. Is this true, if so how can I fix this?

just a word of advice do a search and properly title your thread before it gets locked.
Use them doohickey type deals! Just make sure to buy the flux capacitor or your screwed!
Actually, it is true. But to not such an extreme extent. Weight will shift, yes, but in a street DA, not even close to enough to inhibit movement.
Tell your friend to find another interest/hobby.

ALL FWD’s with that kind of power will definitely lack traction. Some of the things u can do to ensure that the car put the power to the ground are upgrade the suspension and run some sticky street tires or drag slicks if the car is at the tracks. I would recommend that u get some coilovers so when u are at the track, u can raise the rear up a little so u get more weight transfer to the front and depending on the setup u might be able to stiffen up the rears also. kinda like this video:

Unless I am a retard, he made no mention of anything turbo related except saying 300hp. And dont say that the only way to make 300hp is from a turbo/supercharger please. He made no reference to power adders what so ever, so as far as we are concerned, he could have a NSX engine in there.
