I may be wrong, but I’m thinking 350 hp on stock pistons and seals and whatnot is just sounding like a recipie for disaster.
Anyone?

Aaaannnnnndddd…you base that upon how much experience with FI hondas? :bored:
In short, you’re wrong.
OP–go with the 3076R. Just make sure you have an extremely competent tuner, and maybe shoot for right at the 300whp level for now till you rebuild.
Yeah I would like to tune 12 psi on 93 octane. Why would you say the 3076r instead of the t3/t4?
the ball bearing turbos spool much faster and get more power at the same boost level as a journal-bearing turbo.
they also last a lot longer.

What I’ve read on here and other spots. So, no, very little, but leave out the eye rolling, I said “I may be wrong” I’m wrong, fine. Correct me otherwise, not with a smartass remark. From what I had heard, emphasis on the heard, that sounded like a lot, thats all.
that’s a big thing from canada these days. commenting on what you’ve heard, not what you know.
lesson learned? share what you know. the rest, maybe not so much.

Hm. I’m going to try to answer that while keeping my cool, as tough as it may be. I don’t comment on the United States unless I know something about it. I simply commented on the turbo (with a, “someone let me know if im wrong or not” i might ad) becuase, to someone new like me, it sounded like a scary idea. It’s not, you told me that, I’m just as prepared to listen to your advice as anyone elses. So, if I ask you to not jump on my frame, please, don’t lower yourself to insulting my country, it really doesn’t show too well on your part, especially with an insult that i don’t believe you really have any backing for. Thank you.
You mean other than all the canadian journalists and even the canadian members of this site claiming to have all this knowledge of the inner workings of the u.s. military and our operations overseas? yeah, if anyone knows about the inner workings of an organization, it’s people who don’t even qualify to be a part of that organization and therefore would have no way of knowing anything about it that we should listen to.
how about you just leave alone what you don’t know, and run along and play with the other children.
don’t even bother with him.
u can make 300 - 350 on stock motor just dont be expecting it too last forever…
and lets keep the canada against the US arguments somewhere else… theres alot of boosted hondas around vancouver and lots of stock block boosted hondas some that blow up some that dont… tuning is what matters a good tuner and u can do 350 on a stock block… but it wont last as long as a built bottom end but that should be a given if ur thinking of boosting.
Yeah, I have chosen to wait and build my motor first. Then boost:clap:
x2
thats the better move. myself however, im boosting 100% stock. i wanna see what this b18a can take. if it holds up till next winter then awesome, ill build it then. if it blows, well, b18a’s are cheap and ill know what it can handle.
Setup?
What’s your set up and psi redtegra?
my setup is in the process of being built now. so im not sure what psi ill be running. my turbo is a gt2560r, 3" downpipe and exhaust, ram horn manifold, 550cc injectors and everything else. chances are ill be pushing this turbo near its limits at around 13-15 psi. ill just have to wait and see when i get on the dyno and tune. im aiming for around the 270whp range. we’ll see what happends.
…
gsr cams vs. b16 (b17) cams won’t be a very big jump, if anything at all. if you want to use OEM cams that will actually provide you some hp, go with ITR or CTR cams.
i have the gt 3076 its good n spool pretty quick. i think on stock internals 300+ whp is pushing it.
