gm 3 bar map

i was wondering can one just change the stock map sensor and cut and splice a new gm 3 bar map sensor instead of fmu… i have read one would need some kind of ems for this to work…im trying to turbo my car for 8 to 10 psi for daily duties for now…

i have the 255lph pump and 780’s, the turbo and the piping… i want to try and run the stock ecu to drive the car to get the car chipped… is it possible for me to run it this way or just pull the ecu out and get it chipped with a base prog… just trying to save time…

thanks in advance

im think toward uberdater then goin to aem afterwards when i do a complete motor build…

i forgot my future hp goal is 400whp with built motor

your stock ecu will not read a gm 3 bar map sensor you will have to have your ecu change over to use a gm 3 bar map

but it’s not like you need a 3-bar map sensor for 8-10 psi, nor do you need 780cc injectors. with 550’s, you’ll be at around 350hp worth of fuel assuming 90% duty cycle and 42psi rail pressure. first off if you’re looking for 400 on a LS engine, be prepared to drop some cash. either on race fuel or on serious engine building. if it’s a vtec head you’ll be using, 650’s will get you 400 just fine.
