ttt

i’ll be using crome in a few weeks. do 2.5 inch piping for your exhaust unless your doing like a 400hp or more build which i doubt. not sure on the muffler. im using an apexi n1 because im getting it off a friend. just tune good i guess and have fun. also maybe a half size radiator. where’d you order your clutch from and how much did you pay? i need a new clutch

thanks. im having a problem finding a tuner in my area. the clutch came with the car also. thanks for the info. some more would be nice

what part of VA are you in? 757 area has Accuracy Automotive, Precision Auto, Dyno inc. In the Richmond area it Matt Shue. Ill have some links in a minute. I cant find a link for Shad at Accuracy but hes a great guy who knows his shit.

see thats my problem… VA has many tuners and tuners who know how to push stock internals to the max and thats what i want but im in NC, mooresville to be exact.

im on drag too. sn is wayne

Yo man just outta curiosity, What type of turbo kit did you buy? What turbo is it coming with and how much did you pay for it?

Yea as he said, its the turbo forum how you gonna forget
to tell us info on the turbo kit? lol… def get pics up soon when you get it etc…

Ill be waitin for updates, i wanna boost my b16

I know a tuner in NC

I would suggest crome, xenocron sells ecus and chipping supplies. He also sells high flow fuel pumps for cheap (i just ordered one from him).

oh yeah, I got some DSMs and a resistor box for ya. $65 shipped. Email me or hit me up on aim

i came across these people acorss the internet. at first i thought it was just another ebay company that never ever contacted their customers. i gave him a call and he gave me a deal. i got a FULL turbo kit minus tapped oil but including half sized rad. its a t3/tdo4 or some sheit…

now i have to get
injectors
ecu
cross member.
and exhaust. thremal three inch
gauges.

already on the way.

turbo kit
fuel pump
3bar map sensor
gauge pillar
radiator.
and some other random sheit thats not for turbo.

thanks for all the help. the kit should be in by this friday and as soon as it gets in my i will share it will my fellow g2 lovers!

you know a tuner close to Mooresville NC? outside of charlotte?

and im going to get back to you about the injectors. i just heard that i should get 550cc cuz 450cc will max at 10psi of boost???

I know a guy about 120 miles from moorseville in ashville. Well worth the money, one of the founders in the DIY honda tuning scene. I don’t know his prices but he is well worth the charge. If you’re willing to make the trip I’ll talk to him and see if he has the time.

You heard wrong on the 10psi limit of DSM injectors. DSM 450s are some of the most reliable injectors that are good up to 300hp easy. Xenocron (one of the g2ic sponsors) was running a set for two years pushing 300hp on his DA with a stock LS motor (all about the tune).

This past weekend he installed a built LSVtec using RC550s and right after he started it he went to start it again and one of the injectors stuck open. He went back to his DSM 450s. His goal on the built LSVtec is 400hp which you need 550s for, this is a fully built motor and that’s about pushing the limit of those injectors.

If your plans are for up to 300-325HP to the wheels then the DSM 450s will do fine, not to mention they are a fraction of the cost of what you’re gonna pay for some RC Engineering injectors and sad to say are more reliable.

As far as engine management goes, I always highly recommend xenocron. I do chipping myself but he’s a friend and has a very nice business. Xenocron.com is his website. You can buy a chipped ecu there. Whomever you plan to use for a tuner will be able to burn the rom for you.

thanks alot man… i guess ill go ahead and get with you and get those off your hands… i just purchased a ecu today for 100 that was socketed w/uberdata. he said there is a base map on there set for 7psi. i want something else…

im placing my order for a avid crossmember and a thremal 3in exhaust. still waitin on my kit to come in, as soon as it does ill post pics of my peice and her new toys. =)

if it’s a vtec ecu that’s already socketed and the job was done right then it’s an alright deal. One of the other members on this board I’m selling a p06 for $60, then buying the chip kit and vtec conversion kit from xenocron for around $40. Then I’m chipping it for free since this guy has bought a bunch of stuff from me. So he’s getting a vtec enabled OBD1 ecu for $100 out the door - unless you already have an ecu and know how to chip that’s a pretty good deal. Chipped p28s sell for $120+ on ebay. I don’t fuck with other peoples chip jobs (and neither does xenocron). If I claim the work and call it my own then I don’t like sloppy seconds.

3" thermal exhaust is nice and all but a bit pricey for my taste. I have a 2.5" custom mandrel catback myself (still sitting in the garage). 2.5" is about as big as you want if you don’t want to interfere with the stock cross member and the rear LCAs. One of these days I’m going to build a custom tubular front cross member but for now I’ll lightly notch mine to get the DP to clear.

Now don’t be trusting someone elses basemap. Tuned for 7psi on what? Stock injectors on a d15 nonvtec? You need a basemap meant for your motor and your injectors (then you start to take into consideration the turbo curve, and I can’t forget about your large map sensor). I’ll do a packaged deal for you. $70 shipped for DSM 450s, stock 90 DA resistor box, and an SS eprom chip with a usable basemap to get you to whichever tuner you pic. When you get to the tuner he will wideband tune your car using an emulator then decide on a long term basemap for you to use. I like to get things tuned up just right then just shut off my o2 sensor and run on my specified basemape.

If you decide to go with my recommendation I will talk to him and see how he wants your basemap made until he can fine tune the car. He knows about 10 fold the things that I do. If you were traveling two hours to me I would say to just roll with the basemap and stay out of boost.

hit me up on aim

thats cool i ll do that. im alil confused though. you are goning to send me a chip that i just put into my ecu? will it have the datalogging too? im down for that though. so you think 3 inch isnt needed? im def going to go ahead and get the avid crossmember too since they are selling for 360.00 ill get up with you on aim asap. thanks alot

just some input…i have a stock crossmember with a 3inch thermal here, no fitment issues, dunno why the crossmember would matter its the dp u have to worry about, and took me half and hour to install. everybody pretty much covered my inputs…remember to get colder plugs and new fluids. i’m iffy on your ‘stage 1’ clutch, i’m only on 10psi (using dsm 450s btw) and i got a 6 puck and a beefy pressure plate…it was called a stage 3 and i trust running something like that around, i daily drive it without a problem…maybe even think about gettin a stage 2 to handle the extra torque and leaving room to upgrade later. make sure the basemap is for a 3bar map too…just curious cause it was a 7psi basemap and u have a 3bar.

Yes, I will find a good basemap for you to something very close to your setup and mail it to you. Just slap the chip and and go light on the car until it’s tuned.

I agree with the clutch, I overlooked that. Stage 1 is a notch above stock and won’t take any real HP.

I was gonna make the map sensor call which depends on basemaps available. If I can find a calm basemap to use with the 3bar map I’ll go with it. Otherwise just run your stock map but have the 3bar one ready to swap in if your tuner decides to tune with it. I mean swap in by have the wiring ready to just plug n play. I know many tuners are busy people and don’t want to wait around for you to solder in a different map.

The best you can hope for with stock internals is 400hp on a gsr motor. Dave Leed (one of the best tuners in the northwest) has a 400+hp crx with a gsr motor, all stock. He is one of the best tuners in the NW though and can pull off shit like that. I would shoot for something reliable and realistic for now. Since you aren’t gonna have a constant monitor on the AFRs and are still learning I would shoot for around 300hp with stock internals. You can easily obtain that with the right tune and have it run for years.

Start small, then look into building a motor and go all out.

Xenocrons semi-built LSVtec (rods, pistons, stock sleeves I think) is shooting towards 400HP on pump gas which he says will average 40mpg on the highway (hard to do but I’m sure he can do it). He could probably go more but he’s being conservative about it all. Keep in mind that he’s the man in the NE area as far as being a tuner guru.

There are a few guys I know across the US who really know their shit. I can point you in the right direction.
