Got my shit boosted, HMT style!

The install went down in Xenocron’s garage on sunday, with the homemadeturbo.com NE crew spoonfeeding me my first turbo.
Hits 6 psi at 4k in 2nd, fun as fuck to drive, exactly what I wanted. THEORETICALLY, I can stay out of boost around town  .

i love that charge pipe lol

oh shit yuriy. i gotta hit u up on aim. looks mad HMT. me like.

how is the turbo lag, i want to get a big turbo like that. Is it s t3/t4?

i want to know a little bit more info on that part

awe some. HMT > kits. i wish i could put all the useless crap i know to good use…

Its a GT28E…so its basically a gt series turbo, with normal journal bearings. For 100$ :nana: .

It starts to spool at 3k, full boost by 4k. Beautifull. Will get better once my dump is rerouted and I am tuned. WIll update then.

20k or so later

hehe…what did you run?

It’s honda-tech material so a secret it stays, for now.
A hint is that on the first race of the day I took off a full 2 seconds after the other guy.

Went back to the track on the last day of the season here with freezing temperatures and a tad more boost and was hitting 85+mph in eigth, so if the car doesnt grenade over the winter, its 12’s next spring with bfg’s.

hey im in the process of installing my turbo kit now… just how did u run the watercooled part? did u block it off or run it into the antifreeze lines…dumb question but i stuck on it

I ran the lines one from the throttlebody to the turbo then to the other side of the waterneck at the top of the block.

Got pics/details on the Saab FMIC? From which Saab model is it from?

All I know about the IC is that it comes on viggens and has one side backdoor style IC piping. fun shit unless you do it backwards like I did.
