Hey guys I have a b18c1 head that came shipped damaged so UPS should be sending me money for it. Should I try to find another GSR head or should I just throw the GSR cams in my B16 head. Either way it will be a full port and polish with valve train
If you’ve already got the B16 head just throw the cams in there, then pocket the money when it comes and use it to get something else you need for the car.
what was damaged on the head?
The piece that goes over the cam and the distributor mounts to. the part that has the screw for the dis broke off. I talked to honda they said each one was machined for each head and you can not order just that piece

let me buy that old head off you as a core after you get refunded.
Tchleung here is a parts diagram show me where you can order that part cause there is no number next to the part which is circled in green.

what? its the block with the squirters.
yea the b18c BLOCKS have the squirters in them. just mill the tab right off and use 2 of the 3 distributor bolts. it will make life much easier and you should be abled to get a couple bucks on top of that. only problem is they make u send the head back to the seller since they took the insurance out on it, me and ljoe went thru all that garbage and he ended up giving me an itr intake manifold for the damage. it actually got more damaged being sent to lyndon and back. if you decide to replace the cap all you have to do is have it line bored.
Where did you order the GSR head from?
insurance has already said they are paying the claim just had to send pics
