H2B DA Integra questions

Hahaha, I don’t bother raising the hood for 200hp and 161lbs/ft of torque my friend :slight_smile: If the guy I know want to do it, I may just drop the mount of the engine and tranny by 1.5 inch to be able to close my hood.

And Mike, any idea how is an electric power steering pump?

Not sure about the Neuspeed Short Throw Shift and I would like to know if I’m missing anythings in the set-up. I just learn that LSD Spec R S80 gears can be put in the YS1. Here’s the questions:

1- Would I improve anything by swapping YS1 to S80 Spec R Gear?

2- Like I said above, anything I should add/change/delete performance wise?

3- Any comment? :slight_smile:

You wouldn’t improve anything with the tran swap becuase the B16 tran has really good gear ratio. you want to leave that the way it is.

Please do not get the V2 intake.You will lose HP when you install it. Trust me, do not get it. It’s a really big waste of money!!!

What intake I should use then??? I’ve heard everywhere that the V2 was the best intake for now… :stare:

I don’t think so man. A guy I uyse to know had it and he lost power. I would say just the CAI from AEM.

So how much do you think all of this is going to cost you once your done with this project?

B16 LSD trans - $500-900/ depending on if it’s cable or hydro
H22 mounts for DA - $700
H2B swap - $700-900/ depending on kit
Axles - $200-400/ depending on co.

I’ll cost a lot I know but I will not built everything at the same time :smiley:

I’ll start by swapping the old B18a and tranny for JDM B18B and YS1 LSD Tranny.
Why? Because the engine is not the first thing I’ll built and I need a strong running motor to track test my component added to the Teg. I swap because the B18a is starting to go and tranny start to grind too.

I’ll try to do all the job myself except some like sandblasting and welding. So I’ll need your help here :slight_smile:

I’m now searching about every step-by-step DA thread I can found to help me. If you have any or know about any, can you please post them here?? :smiley:

Good times and it looks like a fun build.
I just yanked my h2b out of my DA to rebuild the motor and put into a CRX, for the track only. I’m doing a shave and tuck on the DA bay and will put another H22 back in but with the H tranny:sad: . I hope to have the DA back soon and the CRX will be ready for next spring at the track.

Basically its just an electric motor powering a pump instead of running it off of the belt. Kinda hard to find though but I’ve seen them on Ebay before at reasonable prices.

quick mick with the h22a…how’s the car running for you? for all you H22 powered da’s how fast of a 1/4 mile time on a stock motor? im not into drag racing…but just curious how fast one would be. im more into road racing and also wondering how the H22 da handles?? does the motor throw off the balance of the car in any way?

second gen mr2 pumps will work, thats what imma do…
