I have seen a few different manifolds here and there and I am wondering if you all could give me advice on what STYLE of manifold I should get to take advantage of my relocated battery. (which is in the teg tips, shameless plug)
I will also be removing the a/c when it comes time to install the setup but will keep the power steering. I want to run a air filter on the turbo and I am also open to full rad/half rad ideas as well. ThanQ you.
If I were to remove the battery, which you say you’ve done, a filter would fit perfectly right up there if you just make a little intake from the turbo inlet to the filter.
Inlinepro mani is a tad expensive though, and not exactly made for huge power, but looks good to me and fits well in the DA with no P/s fitment issues.
they make manifold kits which they supply you with what you need and you do the work. if your inclined enough then you coud make it to where you can keep your AC with it.
Does anyone know the name of the manifold where the external wastegate tube points sideways towards the passenger side? I think that might be a good one. I have seen them in our threads before Im sure.
I dont think those manifolds where the wastegate points towards the front of the car would fit easily though.
spoolinperformance makes some, they’re in the Sponsors section.
InlinePro has the wastegate port on top of it, not pointing to the front. Tial 35/38mm fits without an elbow on the gen 2’s.
Even if you get a manifold with an elbow for the wastegate, it doesnt go all the way over to where your battery was. the best use for the space that your battery left would be for a filter for the turbo, or if you put your intercooler piping there instead of where the resonator usually is(assuming you’re using a front mount).
heres mine, its a ERL stainless cast, pretty pricey like the inline pro.
Problem i had w/ mine is that the wastegate would sit on the radiator hose pretty much. so i had it modified to point the other way not only for that reason but also because my DP is coming out to the driver side.
s-fab.com realy good prices on his log style manifold. nice guy also. great work too. if you talk to him you can get his log down to $230 shipped. http://s-fab.com/
I think that this is a photo of a G2 integra (not really sure, so please correct me if I am wrong). I noticed the small width of the radiator in the photo. I plan on going with a stock half-size civic radiator with a 1,000 cfm fan. Anyways, I can’t tell if the condensor is there or not. I say this because the manifold is supposed to allow you to keep a/c and p/s. So WTF? Can I keep my OEM condensor or not?
What intercooler should I go with when using this manifold? I just might have to make my own piping kit. Do you have a recommendation for which piping I should go with?
P.S.- Sorry if I am asking too many questions. I would call them myself, but their “contact us” page isn’t working.
that doesn’t look like a g2, it has a slave cylinder on the tranny and no clutch cable unless they converted but i doubt it. and it looks like there isn’t a crossmember.
yes s-fab is great and if you contact him hes reasonable and you can get prices lowered. not a promise for everyone. but brad is a good guy. and now onto the ac question, i believe it will still be hard to keep your ac on a g2 even with a log maniifold. that ac/ps capatible may be for civics or newer integras. im not saying keeping the ac isnt possible best bet to keep wil be with a log but i beleive it will still be hard.
also alitle off topic but you just missed out on a huge sale he had log mani’s were $209 shipped. and the others were realy good sale prices also. just thought i would toss that in there. so just check his site from time to time maybe might catch a sale.
You didnt post down your budget. Hard to convince you to buy something if its not in your price range. If money is not an option and you want speed then get the peakboost top mount AC compatible Manifold.
