Hit the dyno yesterday

I hit the dyno yesterday. It was on a mustang dyno. So everyones numbers seemed low. An STI with mods only hit 256. Anyway it is a good starting point to go from. I got a lot of good data. time to go to 12psi and really get it dialed in. I was running very rich.

whats your setup?

Were you the guy with the yellow DA???

Yeah I had the yellow DA.

I was hitting just over 9psi of boost. my a/f was aroung 11.3 - 11 so a little to rich. haha

My setup consists of

Turbonetics T3\T4 turbo .63 .60
Stainles equal length manifold
Turbonetics Evolution Wastegate 10psi
TurboXS BOV
24" bar & plate intercooler
Forged Pistons & Connecting Rods
Port & Polished head
magnecore wires
Fluidyne Radiator
B&M FPR
Exeddy street/strip clutch
Lightnend flywheel
DC Sport short throw
Brembo Drilled and slotted rotors
Axxis ceramic pads
Motegi MR7 gunmetal rims
Turboedit
ECUControl for datalogging and gauges

Are you coming to the G2 or the MNSC meet on Sept 24th?

BTW I’m Holly, I’m not sure if you saw my DA parked in the back, but she’s the black one with white rims. I wanted to put her up there SOO bad, but it would have been way to embarrassing. Your runs were nice, can’t believe you have that much torque though, sure wish I would finish mine. Hope to see you around some more!

I am going to the MNSC meet since I said I was going already. I tried to get everyone from here to go to that one. It would be nice to see a bunch of DA’s at a meet. I saw your car yesterday. It was looking real good. What are your plans for it in the long run. Do you go to any of the weekly MNSC meets. Well hope to see ya around.

Oops… Sorry… didn’t see that you were the one that posted that. I’ve been on this forum for a while, but i just never post so i don’t know anyone (I’m a HT junkie). I’m not sure what the plans for her are… i was thinking of dropping a H22 in her and SCing it or a turbo B18. I have now decided that I’m going to buy a S2000 this coming spring so ill keep her for a while then I’m going to give her to my guy and he’s going to make her full race.

Well it sounds like you have some fun future plans, especialy a s2000 maybe boost that. I am in the same boat. I might sell my teg and get a M Coupe next summer or the following summer. Your guy must have some big plans for his teg. Hope I can take a look at it whens it’s done. Will it be done before winter. He seemed like rs has had it to long. If you have any questions let me know. I am always ready to help out a fellow g2’er.

Nick

Yea, Dave has lots of plans for his car. RS has had it for about 2 months now. We just got the block back from Darton and hopefully it will be running by friday. When i get my S2000 ill either go all motor or put a comptech SC on it, I cant wait! Ill see you on the 24th for sure. Are you going on the North Shore ride Oct 1st???

3000lbs! Put that Bish on a diet! Oh yea, nice numbers.

:burnout:

How much was the dyno time over there at RS?

I was there with mnsc so it was $50 for 2 pulls with wideband. No tuning or anything.

Nice Numbers,

But yah 3,000lbs? :whip: Lose some weight.
That can’t be the correct weight of the car.

yeah that weight has to be off cause my gsr is only 3530 with full interior

^ i hope you mean 2530. and they usually round up on the weight. like if you take you car to get smoged they round everything thats over 2000 lbs to 3000lbs. for all the cali people since we get stuck on a dyno for smog.

decent #'s. good consistancy between tq and hp too. it does look like you are dying off above 6k, which is common, but id figure it to be a little more prolonged with a t3/t4 similar to you have. ( my power was still holding even if not slightly increasing at 6700 with my 57 trim t3/t4). maybe some mild sort of headwork will help, even like an aftermarket intake manifold. with the internals you have, go for 15+ psi  . awsome setup overall

you need to add timming to the boost portion of the map. IMO. how much peak timming are you running?

Since the motor is still kinda new I had them let of a little early so around 6000 - 6300. So they were not pushing it real hard. I think a intake manifold would be a good upgrade for her. The head I have is port and polished already so maybe after tunning I will really let them go to redline. Just didn’t want to break anything to early and start over.

I think the timming was around 18 degrees. I would need to check that again to be positive.

Thanks for the good feedback everyone. I will let ya know next time it goes on at 12psi and tuned better. My a/f at 6300 was 10.6 or real close to that. Way to rich, so I know I am losing HP because it is to rich.
