HKS turbo timer installed - key wont release

hopefully someone can help me with this. i have a HKS type-1 i believe. it’s a pretty old one. but after i installed it, my key will not release until the countdown is done…
if i leave it off, then it’s fine and dandy…

what keeps the key in while the engine is on? is there anything i can bypass? or some wire i need to run through the TT?

kev. check one of your wiring connections. i just installed my timer and it runs fine. call me if you need help.

what power supply for the ignition did you use?
and all the other wires…

power- 12v ignition
ignition- there are two ignition wires on your switch. i just confirmed it with the helms. so its just like my car. one wire has to go to the ign that doesnt lose power when the starter is activated. the other wire goes to the other ignition.
security- just tapped into the e-brake power line that reads 0v when the brake is down. car shuts down immediately after the e-brake is release while the timer is going.

call me if u need help.

i think i might’ve gotten the ignition wires wrong…

do you got a pic? or color code of which wire goes to what wire on the ignition switch?

no pic. but if ur in vallejo today give me a call. i’ve got the helms here and we can run through it and fix your problem.

maybe this will help

i looked for the location of the brown wire but no luck…but heres the rest of them

red - ignition
blue- ignition
gray - hand brake
black - ground
green - ignition
brown- ? …by the way…i was useing the hks type 0 but i know all of these are the same as type 1
