How do I install Boost Gauage and BOV on 92 B18 IM......

I am a bit confused on how to install the boost guage and BOV to the vaccuum hoses on the Intake Manifold…The way that the sho installed it does not seem correct…If I unplug one Vaccuum hose now the Teg shuts off…The BOV seems not to be functioning correctly niether…And when the Teg is cold…The Boost guage does not read Vaccuum…Then as she warms up…The guage wrks good…Another concern is the sound the Turbo makes when I let off after like boosting any lbs…I have heard that that sound is the Turbo spining backward which is not good for the turbo…Any help will be great…Pics will help me even more…Thanks…

Some pics on my lil issue…Where to connect…And what not to do…

looks like you are teeing off the signal for the map sensor, not a good thing, you should tee off the fpr or the brake booster line, not the signal to your map, thats why your car is acting all jacked up on you

Great…Now you can’t see my pics…Now I am screwed.

In addition, if you Tee from the FPR, make sure you Tee between the intake manifold and the actual regulator. The ECU has input to it if you Tee after and you’ll get funky things happening. I originally did that and the BOV would not always open at the right times and I would get that noise of the turbo spinning backwards that you’re talking about. It’s called compressor surge.

Ok…After working on the Teg till 5am…I finally got it all down packed and working great…The BOV and Boost Guage are now connected on the same line in between the IM and the lil black FPR thingy…Before the BOV was connected to the MAP sensor thing…That is why it was not opening…After a ride last night it is sounding great…Just still have a lil sound of the Turbo But quick sounding of the BOV…I am going to adjust the BOV some more to disipate the Turbo sound. All is coming along now…Thanks for all the input…Much appreciated.

so the pics u have up now are how the lines are run now? also where did u get that 45 degree rubber elbow thats attached to the throttle body, and is it 2.5"

That is the way that it was…I will post NOW pics soon…The Elbo was given to me by my Tunner Guy…It is I believe 2.5"…Thanks…

my turbo occasionally surges i hate it and i even have my BOV hooked up to my vaccum manifold so othere shouldnt be any problems… o well ill take a look at it when im not soo lazy
