What products do you use to clean your interior i.e. dashboard and doors? I was thinking about armoral but that crap took the color off my brothers dash so thats out.
armoral? i have used it for the last 3 years and it has done nothing but kept it clean and shinny.
Meguiars interior dash wipes. No greasy feeling afterwards.
my bro used the armoral wipes instead of just getting the spray bottle and it did a number on his interior
meguires eh? might try that.
ive been tossing this idea around as well. not sure what im gonna use since i refinished my dash with vinyl paint.
Lets see… a damp rag.
Most do the products like Amorall do make your dash really shiny. But then it attracts more light and your dash is more likely to crack and fade due to the sun.
Hella,
I have shmuts on mine and i need to get it off. Don’t think a damp rag will cut it this time.
Meguiars doesn’t leave a shine nor attacts dust, at least not on my car.
actually the shine repells the light. since its shinny the light is being reflected not absorbed so its is less likley to crack from heat.
Regardless if its shiny or not, if your dash is black, its gonna absorb the heat and sun.
Air gun, all-purpose/water mixture in a bucket, scrub brush, scotch brite pad, and towels…if you want you can go over it with some sort of accent to make it shine a bit, but go over that with a towel so it doesn’t look wet or greasy.
I detail all day long…hate it.
IMO amorall does a great job of getting all the dust and leaving a nice shine but whatever u do don’t use the black magic protectant, it left my dash ashy as hell.
you think amorall will get off shmuz?
I don’t think anyone here even knows what that is.
I dont.
I use the same crap as Spikey.
I dont like a very shiny dash.
spikey its yidish for crap, or something like that. Its just some white stuff on my dash board and i need to get it off.
i usually use armorall, but i had a bottle of turtle wax vinyl cleaner or something… little green spray bottle. was for plastic, vinyl and rubber. made my dash clean and shiny

Good try, but your logic is wrong.
For example METAL is very shiney, that means it must be reflecting a lot of light. So according to your logic it must be staying pretty cool since it’s shine is reflecting not absorbing the light huh?
To take off the “Shmuz” use Orange Glo. It can be found in any Home Depot in the paint dept. for like 2 bucks. Works really well. It took off some nasty soda spill that sat in the sun for like 10 years on my dash.
