How to make 200 whp with out turbo or NOS

I was wanting to now how i could make 200 plus whp out of my B18 ls motor. I have seen a b20 vtec make 200 whp but is it posssible to make a b18 ls motor. if so what are the main parts i should be looking at.

Change the Rotator Split to a bigger size

Add some Octane Booster ( Dale Jr. Edition)

Get rid of your muffler bearings

Or you could just SEARCH!

Search the website, this topic has been covered many of times, and after you have done that, then ask the questions, if there is any left to answer

give me 15,000 JUST for the motor and dont ever expect to drive it outside of a track. Oh also expect routine maintenance JUST on the motor to go up about 20 fold. You will need to completely dissassemble and reassemble the entire motor about every 500 miles or so to inspect for failure(s) unless you want more damage due to extended use with a failed component to occur

so just let me know when you’ll be dropping it off with me

didnt 1 guy have well over 200hp on a b20 on here? like 230hp i think it was? i think its gotta be possible if you had ridiculous compression, lumpiest cams you can have made(prolly wont find them in production), like 1mm oversized valves. but the bolt-ons would prolly cost about the same as the engnie. side exit header and a race muffler if u plan to street it, jg or similar manifold, 72mm tb, nice 3" air bell or filter that flows better than any i have ever seen, either one would have to be mounted somewhere were u could get real cold air. it couldnt be too hard.

Call gude- gude.com. Them boys ain’t no joke when it comes to non vtec. They put in my boys ride 220 mhp with stock bottom. When he gets the bottom done he’ll be making around 240. Driveable, everyday, gas (premium). Yo, that’s sick indeed. Check it out! I Forgot! ALL MOTOR!!!

i can list a combo that makes rigth at 200whp for a b18b… its not cheap tho… it uses a aftermarket head and all… i know someone with one for sale built up like this pretty cheap (compared to the seperate parts prices)… makes me wish i had the money to buy it and id just throw it in my car

Engine- Find someone who had a low mileage engine(<90xxx miles) who just swapped an engine into their teg. then buy it the longblock for 500

the motor was never ran… so we dont know exact power this motor will make… but the builder built a motor exactly like it before and it gave 203whp

if this is ur setup and ur streeting it then make sure u get a sprung puck clutch, the normal puck clutches only have engaged and disengaged(sp). the springs allow you to pretty much ride the clutch if u need to. not saying thats a good thing but sometimes u have to.

i wish i could buy the motor from him… he only wants $1200 complete and its never been run… but i dont have any money… barely got enuf to fix my motor up

damn 1200 for that set-up thats cheaper then Dh-racing. there cheapest B18 is 2300

thats why i wish i could buy it… but i dun even realy have money to fix my oil burnign problem right now… muchless a whole motor

a whole new motor = no more burning oil… =)
