i wanna build my ls or a 200 shot

i got bought me a direct port nitrous kit and i was wondering how to build my ls to take the whole 200 shot i know it will blow up but i want it to last as long as possible i wanna do at least 5 runs on ther track :auto: :gunright:

a 200 shot! just plant dynamite under your hood.
there is nothing you could do and have it last.
think about it, honda engineered that motor for 130/140 hp and your asking it to put out 330/340… its going to blow up before you make your 60 foot time.

How much are you willing to spend to have it “handle” the spray?
do it right make that power more reliably with a turbo.

ya foreal whats the point to only do 5 runs at a track… that car will take you out… or is it the other way around?

ur telling me a ls cant take more then 140? i seen an ls with 600hp b4 what u talkin about

yea but i bet the motor wasnt stock, and also it was tuned. Just do it, your car not mine.

He wrote that be wants to build his ls to handle the 200 shot. Didn’t say for the stock motor to take it.

Get rods and pistons, but even at that I think a 200 shot is a large amount.
Sell the nitrous, build your motor and turbo it.

i know the motor is gonna blow but i wanna build it and be able to swap the parts to a new motor when it does blow i wanna be able to run the motor at least 2 times b4 i need 2 get a new 1

If you build the motor and then blow it, theres a good chance some of your new parts are gonna be trashed which means you have to buy new stuff to build a new motor.

Just build it and when you do it make sure you have a video camera and take pictures of the carnage and post them up. I am interested in seeing the aftermath.

i seen a single take a 150 shot without blowing up so i think a ls can take a 200 shot atleast once

rods and pistons are a must for a 200 shot, i would invest in a valvetrain too.

please dont do this.
if you insist whats your budget?
we are willing to help but, this just seems rediculous.
and yes Ls’s can handle a good amount of power, infact I have a Ls/vtec turbo built for 500 hp. This doesnt mean id be willing to run it twice and be ok with it just exploding…
what all was included in your nitrous kit?
you will need…
pistons 400$
rods 400$
bearings 200$
headstuds 110$
machine work 300$
fuel management- 0$ - 1500$
good tune- street(200$) dyno 2 hours(400$ish)
wideband(safety) which im guessing you wont be needing… 350$
Nitrous kit… ← got that shit
Injectors 320$
fuel pump 90$
plugs 20$
tires  200$

I think that pretty much sums it up, but for this to be a reliable setup or even run more than a casual dynamite like explosion of a 60 foot time is it worth the loot?

my 2.0L gsr should be around 550 hp after nitrous, i dont want to get into the setup too much because its still in pieces. complete stroker rotating assembly from crower, aem ems, distributorless ignition, 2 stage nitrous(one dry controlled by ems, one direct port), and a whole bunch of other shit. i have about $2500 into the nitrous setup alone, easy $2000 in ems shit, then who knows how much in the motor and my head isnt even done yet.

Even if the motor doesnt blow the first time I think the clutch will if it is stock. Do it and video it if you are not worried about the motor. I wanna see it.

Why Can U Build A Motor To Take Like 30 Pounds Of Boost But Everybody Has A Problem With A 200 Shot

we aren’t saying it’s impossible, but it will be hella expensive.

you gotta sleeve that bad boy if u wanna throw a 200 shot on it:werd:

Have you done this yet???

i have a sleeved 2.0l ls by JG

would it be better to run high boost or the 200 shot or maybe even a combination of the 2 i waas thinkin like 10 pounds and a 100 shot
