Idle surge issues

alright i have searched cleaned and test everthing i can think of the car idles around 700-900 at times it will hold a solid idle others it bounceds between 7-9.also it surges when you hold the tb open say to 2000 rpm you can hear the slights surge or miss what ever you want to call it.

Looking for other ideas as ive taken everything apart and changed numerous parts just to get the same idle surge.

what all have you changed/serviced?

changed 02 sensor, iacv, coolant flush if that matters, plugs, wires, cap, rotor.

Im also in question about my tps so ill be checking the voltage on the tommorow.

Also checked the compression got 210 on each cylinder cold and under 1 percent on the leak down.

does this occur on warm up or operating temp or both have you checked into your fitv valve and have you checked for vacuum leaks.

It happens when its starting to warm up and at opperating temp not when cold . As for the fitv I no longer have that as I’m running a blox manifold and I’m going to start looking for damaged vacuum lines.

use carb/intake cleaner to check. visual check is not good enough.
with the engine running, spray it at your vacuum lines one by one. if you reach one that, when sprayed, changes idle, you’ve reached a source

ill give that a shot.since I think it either a very small vacuum leak or my intake manifold gasket isn’t sealing again for this to happen.

if the gasket’s leaking, it’ll show with that test. good luck

Alright havent even thought about the car for over a year decided to start it up new gas, fluid ect and still does this when it get up to temp any other ideas ?

Did you check vacuum lines as suggested from other members?

yup changed all the vacuum lines to new.

Alright decided to try my luck again, new fuel, plugs, intake manifold gasket, valve adjustment, new t belt as the other on was stretched, idles perfect but has a slight surge about from 600-500 rpm when its warm. So lost on what else to try

have you tried spraying with quick start to check for leaks?
checked ignition timing?

tried that, ill check the ignition timing and i may change out the t-stat and try another set of good injectors. what the stock fuel pressure at idle supposed to be again been a while.

should be roughly 40psi
don’t go and start replacing things without confirming the problem. it can cause more damage than good

Did you try adjusting the throttle screw (the flat head screw)?

ya good idea ill try setting base timing, then setting the idle by the book and see.

Check Number 9 and 8. Those 2 sensors should be connected to the back of the intake manifold. Those 2 sensors cut out on me and made my idle go up and down. Even though they don’t have the parts online, ask acura because they might have it in stock or even the junkyard. (pocket the sensors lol…2 DOLLA to get in!)

worth a try thanks
