and i was wondering what would be the best turbo i should go for??? and also has anyone heard of twincharging (turbo assisted supercharging) i wanted to know if that was a good idea?if it is what supercharger should i get?
Snaps!!!
K20 Swap man sounds good. let me know how things turn out. The only turbo kit i see fitting on your with a k20 have to be custom i think…BUT MORE POWER TO YA>>>LET ME KNOW HOW THINGS TURN OUT>>> TAKE PICTURES!!!
i hate to burst your bubble, but i think this swap is un-fathomable… I think…
get G2Guru or Amerikan over herrre
I’m not so crazy for the K-series engine. The ECU will be very hard for you to work out the bugs out of. This ECU uses 6 fuel and six ignition tables to work with VTC and that doubles after Vtec engages. The engine is very difficult to work on as well and the weight bias will now be towards the passenger side of the vehicle. All the accessories like the P/S and the A/C will have to become custom units. I would suggest why don’t you just get the K20 if you really like that engine but for the money I would see myself behind the wheel of a subaru wrx instead if I had the option of a new vehicle. Or a celica all-trac if used is prefered.
Joe.

It would eb alot of money, tons of custom stuff, and your better off with another swap, and the different rotational engine comes into play. Just get a B18c5 and you will be happy or boost!
Dont listen to these stupid newbs. Work out the mounts, and work out the axles, and everything else is a breeze.

dewd, you dont know wtf you’re talking about. Either post a rebuttle or stfu.
Work out the mounts, and work out the axles, and everything else is a breeze.
Sounds logical to me, that’s how I’d do it.
notecLS… pls… u must be bored… if its such a breeze… post up a step by step description on how to make it so… and honestly u need to stfu and stop posting like u know everything. and dood… where’s yer DIY turbo?? u must be some sad ass 18yo witha GED thinking he can get some1 to buy his bullshit… honestly… u yer full of it… but then this is the internet and arguing over it makes it a waste of time… but im at work and im bored…
and to get back to this thread topic… yes anything is possible as along asu got the money for it… but seriously… why do it? just because? IMO save yer money that you;ll be spending on such a swap… get a fully built Bseries turbo motor in there… done. drive and enjoy…
Ok tard i will. Get custom axles and mounts made, mount it, connect the wiring harness and fuel lines, then start the car. Its a bolt on process if you ahve the complete k20 wiring harness, the mounts, and the axles.
I swear this site has gone to hell since all of the ricers/dumb asses came.

oh i meant yer not a ricer…
NotecLS never said it was an easy thing to do, dropping a K20 into a DA.
Nobody’s going to argue the fact he’s an asshole. He is an obscenely intelligent little bastard; that neither makes him an expert on everything nor easy to get along with.
However, it looks to me like there’s some sort of grudge going on here, that is interefering with the exchange of information in this thread. The thread’s originator obviously lacks a clue as to what is going on - not a criticism, no one starts out an expert - and if he LOOKS at some mount and axle orientation and has a good think on exactly what is going on he’s that much the wiser.
My $0.02.

true… but still his " its a breeze" comment makes it seem that anyone can attempt such a swap… if they are determined… but all means… be my guest. i too am not a expert, but i know enough to read and research rather than spit blantant ramblings such as those of notecLS. and if he thinks i have something against him… your right… i do… he’s sumbass who needs to take his DIY turbokit, and shove it where the sun don’t shine… show me numbers… but then im an all motor guy… so whatevers… and to the thread orginator… im sorry for hacking your post to reply to mr nontecLS…

do a search on some of his past posts and you’ll see where the grudge comes from
Well, at least you’re honest, but you take him entirely the wrong way. I was about to kill him the first time I talked to him on AIM, but all the verbal abuse is just his way of showing affection.
Sticking his DIY turbo kit where the sun doesn’t shine - and more importantly where you can’t see it - is about the worst thing I think could happen to the Honda community right now. There’s more going on there than you know.
mister Davis… i am one for a bond within the Import community… But i don;t go claiming that i can build a better all motor set up then anyone out there and get 240whp either. ( just as an example) im one for those who are willing to get down and dirty and if so… innovate. but seriously its all bullshit until u do it… so unitl he proves me wrong, i will doubt his claims… and let him be the asshole… i don;t care… its just funny… i gotta life but it seems that he doesn’t… anywho… i’ll end it… notecLS… enjoy yer life on the internet… hope yer kit lets u boost past 5psi… and u don;t blow up starting the car…
damn, we got another FI expert in this board:clap: , mr. davis ur cool dood:) (this IS A REAL compliment, not sarcasm)
BTW for smoney75…if u got tons of money, yes u can bolt in any motor in ur teg, but it has to be a K20?, why cant a B18C, or SR20DET, or a DSM motor?
and twincharging, its not a turbo assited supercharged, its the opposite, supercharge assited turbo…
well good luck then:)
well…
me and a couple of friends got bored and found a 91 ls and we also found a k20 engine used for like one day. we decided to make a project car and was wonderin if it was worth the money to buy the k20. Also we plan to do something wild later with it like switch it to rear wheel drive and put,for example,a r33 engine in it…or somethin along those lines. i was just wonderin would a k20 be ok for it now… but it seems u guys got a lil :ot:
ps: the thing about the r33 engine might not be what we do but its on the list.
