There’s a reasonable possibility that I might begin pulling the motor as early as this week. I’d like to get the LS sold in a quick time frame, there’s a few things I’d like to buy in the very near future that selling my LS could help finance :up:

I have a few offers of $1000 for everything (minus the harness, axles, and intermediate shaft). All local offers. I’ll probably put it up for $700/OBO. Not a great engine, but its got a little bit of work in it, so it makes a slight amount more power than a stock B18A1.

I just paid $400 for a long block and i feel like i overpaid. $200 for a YS1 trans.

If someone offered me $1000 for my ls i would pull my motor out butt ass naked in the street lmao.

oh, I’m definitely taking it up. Just a matter of when I can find time to pull the motor.

So, I did a little playing around in the engine bay today. Wanted to put the Velocity Stack on my current intake. Damn, that stack is big as hell, lol.

In order to use it, I’m going to have to relocate my battery. Didn’t really want to go that route, but I might as well. lol.

So, I started working on the car today :slight_smile:

Now, the swap I picked up comes complete with its original engine harness, etc. I need to know what these wires are for:

to describe what you’re seeing. It is a small group of wires (one red, one green) that are run over top of the intake manifold. Not sure what they are for, but I traced the wires into the main engine harness. Would like to know what they are for. I will NOT be reusing the original wire harness. I will be using my LS wire harness (which is easier to use, anyway) but I want to make sure I know what this goes to so I can ensure everything will plug in correctly.

Can’t really tell from the photo… but i’m guessing IAB? Can you describe what it’s coming off of?

Does it go down to the vacuum tank for the IAB control?

unfortunately, I can’t tell what its coming off of. It goes right into the main harness and hard to tell where it goes from there.

looks like it was striped off the intake air temp sensor rite above the iac. the colors sound like the iat sensor and it looks like the plugs wires are very short to from what i can see in the picture.

i checked the wiring diagram for a usdm b18c1 and there are two sensors that have two wires that might be what you’re looking for.

red/white, green/black, engine coolant temperature sensor (right front of engine) so i doubt it’s that.
red/yellow, green/black, intake air temperature sensor (middle of engine) most likely this one.

nah thats not it, you can see the IAT right next to it.

Jake, did you confirm that it had to do with the evap system?
