Im old school and ever since I rode in a stock 91 integra back in 92, all I could think about was how cool the interior of that car was…the guage setup, large sweeping tach, the push button switches lining the lower dash. sick.
I told myself if i could get one I would, so I did.
Gonna be a slow build, as I just wanna get it running and operating properly. so far I have fixed the heater controls (teg tips) blower motor resistor (teg tips) and if it wasnt for searching the forums I never would have figured out that damn little corner piece of the heater control with the final damn screw behind it. you tricky honda designers you.
im watching fresh prince and they just cut to a scene with a 93 accord sedan with some pie plate wheels but they were chrome…never seen that before
when I got it, inside was a mess but complete,
needs a fender and some rust fixed but its definently doable, maybe some 99 civic si wheels, ill most likely get to workin on the suspension first, over the winter.
Int cleaned lightly, seats scrubbed, still need to get a vac in there to take care of the rest of the carpet. put all the interior back together with new bulbs behind the dash.
n ful fx- yes and i love the color and plan on keeping it after the body work is complete (plus the jambs and bay have fairly nice paint anyways)

I cant wait to start tearing into the suspension and get it off its monster truck status, i think the common coolant tube in the back of the block needs it o-rings replaced as im loosing coolant and its definently coming from the back of the block. hopefully its just one of the many coolant lines back there, im going to pick up a pressure system tester this weekend so hopefully i can narrow it down.
You are pretty close to where I am then. I don’t have those items but I have a lot of random parts, so let me know if there is anything you need as you progress. We had a couple of good meets last year, but this year it seems like most people are rebuilding, including myself. There is a carmeet this Sunday at Colt State Park, the Fresh2Death meet. yesterday I scrubbed the hell out of the carpeting in the door panels, just picked up some goo-b-gone to get what looks like sap off the panel, then it should be perfectly clean.
also i cleaned all the rear panels and painted the rear speaker grilles.
and I think this check valve is done, i know im loosing vac to the brake booster, not fast but you can feel it if you are on the brakes for a long period of time, and I cant see any cracks or breaks in the vac line.
and here is a picture of the motor, stock all the way down to the air silencer.
Dampa- thanks for the offer man! im gonna shoot ya a pm. I will surely be heading to meets next season as I hope to finish the car in the spring…I just want to get this coolant leak traced before I start daily driving the car, but when my da is ready ill be at EVERY meet haha.
great progress! what bulbs did you use to replace the interior dash lights? i need to find the little blue ‘condoms’ for a couple of mine and wondering if they come with them
no they dont come with them, I steamed mine with a stove top kettle while holding the old bulb with needle nose pliers, they softened up and slid off fairly easy, then i just slid them over the new bulbs, which i got a 10 pack of 2721 bulbs off of ebay.I would have went led, but i did some led upgrades in my audi, and they are already faultering. But wow what a difference when EVERYTHING on the dash lights up at night.
had a little free time, and there was water getting in the trunk…so time to deal with it!
checked the sunroof drains and the hatch weatherseal and they were both clean and in good shape, so onto the taillight gaskets!
i found some dirt and sludge built up where the housing meets the trunk, not a good sign.
and the gasket circa 1991 has given up its sealing abilities…
so i cleaned and stripped all the old gasket off of the housing, and though oh while they are out I might as well get rid of those damn pink lines…
sealed them up with this,
it was flexible enough so i ripped the seperate pieces off and did one complete seal later on.
and here we go!

well the taillights werent the whole problem…the sunroof drains were BOTH completly disconnected from the boot that directs the water outside the car. so i took the black boots completely out and cleaned them out, ran the lines back into the cleaned boots. NO MORE WATER IN THE TRUNK!!! now time to chase that coolant leak on the back of the block!!!
I had the same problem, they were disconnected and the tubing was too short to go back into the boot so i had to extend it with another smaller tube. Wonder if the tubing shrinks over time? or the previous owner was trying to troll me by cutting the tube lol.
