Its because it seems as if when you buy a DA you do the basics. Such as intake, header, exhaust, clutch, etc.
people post pics when they put new bolts on or install side markers, lets get back to the old way. let see some custom fabrications and stuff. lets see some real clean street cars jsm or whatever lets just see new shit .
Then get one pieces, lower it, then get pulled over, then start a thread about how useless cops are, then get flamed for starting the thread.
Then fail some sort of inspection/emissions testing, then get the car broken into, then finally get the car stolen and then recover the skeletal remains of the car.
Yeah the never ending cycle of owning a DA.

In deed. Or how many new set or rims they can put on in a year.
I think we need some fresh new blood. We need more people to boost there DA’s (i know there is alot of turbo DA’s but not on this site for some reason)and when I mean boosted such as 400whp+ fully built etc. Not “i just picked up a 16g, think it will be good for 300whp?”
and to add to that i think the people with bigger setups just dont bother to post much or at all on this site.
there’s probably a good reason for that.
almost every car to make it into a magazine will get stolen.
even if i didnt have a sick build i still wouldnt post it on a public forum, especially one that lists user location.
my last car taught me that you cant be obvious about your car or it attracts the wrong attention; cops, thieves and jealous ex girlfriends.

If you want a site for basic stuff and <300hp this site is great. If you are looking for answer on what is needed in a custom fab job or >300hp or some serious suspension stuff, I go do my research in the specific topic sections on HT. I only pretty much go in their RR, drag, and suspension section and region specific. That is were the serious competitors lurk. Plus the G2’s are not a car that gets much attention since the platform is not the first choice by any means for most serious competitors, unless they are absolutly diehard G2 and not really worried about winning…
My $.02, and there is alot of people throwing out answers to stuff that dont really know what they are talking about… I have come to the conlusion that I am not going to really try to answer anymore to peoples questions and let them sink their own boat by taking info from people that dont have a clue.
In the last couple of months, this site has become a joke IMO with people talking about stuff that they would get laughed out of HT on. They need to go to team-integra and post over there…
Yeah not to many people actually take the time to really build a car. Most people will swap a motor, get suspension and wheels and call it a day It seems like there are only a few thread where people will strip their cars down and rebuild them.
I completely agree with this statement.
Even when people who actually know what they’re talking about try to help they tend to get drowned out by the multitude of wrong answers someone else gives. It’s pretty sad.

Does everyone really need 400hp? Really? Don’t get me wrong, boost is pretty great and all, but that’s just not everyone’s goal, to have a 500hp, 10sec drag monster. Shoot, look a tnd2gen’s car. He has a stock B18C-R, but most of his effort went towards the chassis to just get it even on the same level as a stock Type-R. Point I’m trying make is, that’s not everyone’s goal, but as long as they’re putting in the same type of effort who cares if they don’t have a T3/T4 hanging off their head.
Agreed. I know of a couple local guys that have some nice DAs but I’ve never seen them post on here

This brings me back to the does everyone need all that hp argument. That’s just not in everyone agenda. There’s a lot of people here that are very content with 200, shoot even 150hp. Of course H-T is going to have a lot more technical info, it caters to a much broader user base, not just limited to one chassis. Next, regarding the content of posts, I’ve definitely seen worse on H-T, the VW guy cutting off his rim to get to a stripped lugnut is perfect example. Seriously, this site doesn’t even compare. There is a lot of misinformation going on, but that’s a problem on all forums.
Basically my take on this is that it’s pretty hard to not copy anybody when the newest parts to come out are lip spoilers and carbon roof caps, the ASR bar though was real nice. Ben Ogle made some good parts too. But our aftermarket selection was never great to begin with, so hopefully we can see some more new developments for our body in the upcoming future

There is a reason people like that dont post on here. So I stick by my original claim that HT is better for those that are seeking out more then, what do I need to “slam” my car, or I have ground controls with stock shocks, a tie bar here and there, and now my car handles awsome, so I feel that I can tell someone that they dont need this or dont need that… I quietly cuckle inside when reading posts like those.

The things I’ve notice is that a lot of technical post become war between 2-3 members. So those thread with infos are deleted.
When I signed here, I was used to find much information and much more easily than now.
I am sure there are many members who are like me and they only lurk the forum and they do not post only by lack of interest. They expect that the subject will turn to war.
