HP is a calculation of work (torque) over time (rpm).
if you’re wondering what 5252 is, it’s just a constant.

In other words, without torque, you’re going nowhere.

vtec is fun, loud, and for equal displacement normally creates more power.
ls’s are torquey lil fux.
if you run a nice short geared lsd tranny with an ls it should be quicker than a b16 swap, stock for stock. ls makes power off the line, because of displacement. not the fact its non-vtec, main reason 2.0L gsr motors are one of the best honda motors ever. =) easy build, easy swap, what more could you want? no you can’t have lyndon.
i have a b18c in my car now and its fun but i cant wait till i get my 94 teg shell, and drop my old 90 ls with a 99 si tranny in it.

yes i know about d motors yes they make good power and u can get power out of them. i think the internals on a b and h motors are alot stronger stock. d rods are not the best stock.

ive heard nothing but good things about the b16a motor.true its not as tourqey as other honda motors. if youre looking for tourqe id go with a h22 or b18c. as for the power it would be better to get a jdm da b16a as ive read that they have 170hp as compared to the jdm b16 out of a ef.plus its a direct bolt in and has obd0.personally i plan on getting a jdm da front clip, ive seen them for around $1400 and you get the jdm lights,and bumper lenses as well as other stuff you can use as spare parts.
