Ok i am puting my turbo together today but i have just one BIG delay.its my pcv.
Do i really need the the dry sump can,or maybe can i just leave the pcv hose open, and plug the oem pcv vacuum source.will this work if not what have u other turbo guys done to modify the stock Positive Crankcase Ventilation System. i really dont have money for the moroso dry sump.
O yea i really tried seaching but found no detailed info.
I just want to know what all u other turbo guts have done  :stare:
i did nothing with the PVC system,’ hell i dont even know what it consists of. I still have my OEM system hooked up.
Yes, you can leave it out. As long as crankcase pressure has somewhere to go you will be ok. Of course it is always beter if you can keep the crankcase under vacuum.
Where ever you direct the crankcase pressure be sure to direct it away from any ignition source or anything you want to keep clean…oil will come out of it in some situations.
which option would u guys recomend. leave it the way it is (stock) or modifiying the pcv valve to make :hmm: it spits oil to the ground???
Leaving it stock is not a good idea as that would essentially pressurize the crankcase which is really really not good. Keeping the PCV system a closed circuit system is the best option. Everything in between is ok but less efficient.
ok i was looking for the black box(PCV) on my 97 integra ls block but i could not find the black box that hooks up to the pcv valve???
does the 96-00 block have the black box???
No it has the pcv going from the valve cover to the IM.
therefore all i have to do is filter the valve cover pvc inlet.and let the hose release oil to the ground???
it that rite???can it be that ez??? :jerkoff:
