Nice everything looks great and I feel your pain. … the shitty end of suspension is removing it. I also kept my stock lca’s and put es bushings in
This thing looks amazing
I too recently replaced most of my bushings with es ones. (the ones that weren’t replaced were on aftermarket parts and already have pu bushings)
The best thing about it is when you have to replace them later on they are 10x’s easier. Don’t forget to use anti-seize on all of your suspension bolt threads and grease the hell out of them often or they get really noisy.
keep up the great work and it is always nice to see a show stopping DA that is actually driven hard!
Do you have an aftermarket water temperature gauge? If you do what temps do you reach under full throttle after a period of time? My biggest mistake was installing a half rad and of course I have heating issues. I got it somewhat under control now with a koyo rad and ducting but on the track it still runs hot. I’m going to need to change my manifold and hot side pipe to be able to use the full rad again. I’m just curious if even with the full rad it still runs hotter then it should.
Thanks! It was indeed painful. I truly enjoy working on cars, except for rusty-ass suspension bolts!

Thanks for the kind comments. That’s really what I’m striving for with this car, I enjoy beating on it. Yup I made sure to grease the heck out of the bushings before installing them and always use anti-seize on the threads. I must admit getting the old bushing out is not an easy process but I’m excited for the results.
I actually have an aftermarket gauge that I need to install. I have used Hondata to check the temps during tuning and it crept up a few times. However my CEL alarm has not gone off during any Auto-x. If I was in your place I would definitely run the full radiator. I can’t imagine running a half with my setup. Once I get the new gauge in I should be able to understand the cooling more accurately.
The car is back under the knife. First up: I got my parts for the Legend Brake Conversion.
95 Legend GS 2 Pot Calipers
23T bracket
Axxis Ultimate Pads
2007 Mini Cooper 11" Disks
I haven’t tried them yet with my wheels…fingers crossed.
Starting installing the Front poly bushings.
I did not know that the ES bushings would fit into the GC top hats. A very nice surprise.
Prepping for a new windshield install next weekend.
More parts in the mail…
The legend calipers should fit under most 15’s, but they didn’t fit with my RPF1’s. I didn’t even think about it and went to mount them the day before an event and they didn’t work I had to run a 20mm spacer (which luckily I had) combined with the +35mm offset wheel AND had to grind the calipers down a bit. The RPF1’s are horrible for clearance though. I used them for one event since they had my track tires on already then sold them immediately after that.
I will keep you posted for sure Colin, I have high hopes. Good to know on the RPF1’s. Are you still running the Legend Brakes now? I was originally going to source the NSX brakes, but like most I gave up not far into my search.
I’m actually running ITR calipers, not the 2 piston legend ones, but I think the size and clearance is basically the same. I don’t like the NSX calipers because they say “NSX” on them. If it said “Honda” or something like that I’d feel different. To me it feels the same as putting an “Integra Type R” sticker on your Civic. The Legend 2 piston calipers are the same basic caliper anyway.
Braking is great with my current setup (ITR calipers, Mini Cooper rotors, Hawk Blue pads). I’d like to try some more pad compounds, but there’s no way I need more braking. Currently my “weak link” is not the brakes, it’s that I’m still running DOT tires. If I switch to r-comps then I might benefit from a different brake setup, but even then I rarely see any of my track friends need anything larger than the ITR/Legend/NSX/Spoon setups. Another option is the S2000 calipers, which seem like a great option due to the weight savings. I think the clearance isn’t as good though since the rotor is a tiny bit larger. Eventually I’d like to upgrade to Spoon calipers (for weight savings & baller status, lol), but they’re so damn expensive that it may never happen.
You can get reman NSX calipers from Rockauto.com but without cores to return it’d be a little expensive.

I think you have the right idea…for the money either stick with the ITR/Legend or go all the way for the spoon. I agree on the tires as well, it may not be this summer but I’m hoping to switch to Nitto NT01’s.
Have you gotten your calipers installed? I absolutely love my legend calipers so much stopping power. Way more than stock its awesome!
Nice! I’m jealous!
I love mfactory’s gear logo. So much that I got my shift knob from them with that logo on top. Can’t wait to install it.
I’ve been wanting to get this LSD for a while. New clutch is in the way as well. Can’t wait to put all the power to the ground!
Yeah, I can’t lie I was pumped that it came with a few stickers:up:. Great company all around.
That’s great to hear Dustin. I have done a half way test fit. They seem to clear the CP-R’s fine from what I can tell. I have the front LCA’s off to get the bushings done, so I can’t mount everything back up just yet. I have to say the Legend calipers look HUGE compared to the stock ones. Looking forward to trying them out. I also upgraded from Hawk HP to Axxis Ultimate pads.
Just beware of the effects of having a lot of torque and LSD. Going through turns when you accelerate your going to have understeer. I have tons of it and its irritating.
Just got to remember that the left caliper goes on the right and right on left due to the bleeder valve. I saw you got a different bracket for them? Is that the 2 piston legend bracket or the single piston bracket? I’m using the stock 2 piston bracket with the cooper rotors.
So if I am understanding correctly, you swapped them so the bleeder valve is on top? A lot of people recommended keeping them upside down (not swapped) so that the “lead” piston is still in the same place…I wonder if it really matters or not? I bought the T23 bracket. I was under the impression that I needed this for it to bolt up with no modification. Nice man! I am also using Cooper rotors. I’m gonna try to get the brakes mounted this weekend.
Disassembled the transmission this weekend.
Got my new clutch from ClutchNet & dropped off my flywheel to get resurfaced. Also, I’ve had a mystery sound at idle that I could not diagnose for a while. I think I found the culprit.
That must be a good feeling to find that. Hey while you have that apart have you seen this? http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=3175608&highlight=shifter
Always wanted to put one of those in but never got around to it, yours sitting in the background of the one pic made me think of it haha

Yeah it’s funny, I was definitely happy to find that
Picked up some skunk2 CAM gears & installed my front ES bushings -
Good stuff man!
Are you just adding the LSD while the tranny is apart or are you changing anything else up too?
