then sell me ur jdm lenses. ur just gonna trash them trying to clear them
Clearing the JDM one piece lenses is do-able.
Kevin, you better make sure you get the high spots first but with the sanding block, I think you’ll be okay. Polishing them up will probably require some high speed buffing tool to actually get a “OEM” like clear finish without the slight sand marks. Good luck! I’ll be waiting for results =p
another one bites the dust…
hahahahahaha… i didnt sand down my good set of lenses, i sanded down one of my chipped corner ones… i have one pair with edges chipped, and another pair with them in good condition.
i might, put one pair together with the good pair of lenses on the oem jdm bulbs & all and sell them in order to purchase the newer style 1 piece headlights to use the lenses from them on my project. we’ll see what happens on test fitting next week with Allan.

the 1 piece projector headlight, yes, are ugly… im using japanese oem housing, retrofited projectors, and the clear newer style 1 piece headlight lense… still working out things…
i’ve had them on the car for 2 days with the jdm oem lense… it’s scattered, and not bright at all… i removed my lenses from them, and drove around with them without anything to scatter it, it looks pretty good. the cut-off is hard to see right now, their is light from the projector reflecting off of the reflective housing of the headlight area… im deciding to paint it black, paint it white, or remove it and make some covering crap around it…
bah, im still workin on it… 
Well if those clean lenses from the newer lights work out, you might see me doing another retrofit.

today, in a hour and a half, im meeting up with Allan to test fit the clear 1 piece lenses with the jdm housings to see if it fits. or if it almost fits, with modification. i’ll have my camera phone on hand to take pics…

PERFECT FIT!
you heard it right, the 1 piece clear lenses fit perfectly on the jdm housings. there is one part im not fully sure on, the corner lense area, the silicone wasnt soft, and there was alot in there still, so we werent sure if it would sit in perfect, but everything else lines up perfect… alan has the pictures, hopefully he can post them up for me soon.

the fog light & corner lense being clear is still getting to me, so im holding back… im clearing the center for the headlight on one of my other lenses… i’ll see how that goes before i blow 150 on lenses i’ll regret…
You could always fog the fog lenses up.
Oh ya, once you guys get everything together and working the way you want it, is there any chance you guys could post what you used (projector model #, clear lenses model #, a grocery list if you will of stuff you needed to make this happen) and how you got them together? It would be cool if you guys could do this. I am interested in trying this myself. Even if its just the list of parts, that would be enough for me.
Or, you could just buy em, I dont think Kev would mind selling a set or two…I could be wrong though…lol
