retrofit some is300 foglight projectors into the fog part on the 1pcs.
Ya, thats an option too. I have no problem forking over some cash for something like this. But I like to build things myself, kinda ups your pride in your car if ya know what I mean.

I was wondering because I couldn’t tell from the pictures, but are the jdm one pieces completely chromed on the inside when you take off the lense? I don’t want to break my perfectly good seal to find out if someone else already knows. So do the lights look “finished” on the inside or did Honda not worry about that when they designed these since they were made with “cloudy” lenses?
Kevin’s one pieces were not completely cromed on the inside.
I think I am going to trade my clear e-bay lens for a JDM lens, after I clean off the tint of course. The tinted corner did not work out.

I didnt go through the 5 pages of “PM me” “PMed” posts, but did he say what they did to the lights? buffed them out or what?
i just skimmed thu the pages but i couldnt find anything on them just that guywitada on ht built them and i couldnt find anything from that.
It looks like they just sat there with a sander and sanded a round spot in the lense. Then buffed it out to be crystal clear again. It also looks like they left most of the fluting on the rest of the lenses. Its pretty cool, though I am not sure if I would want to take a sander to some $200+ lenses on the chance I would burn the plastic, and ruin them.
Thats just me though. Maybe when I get a chance to see some more HID mods, I will get brave.

he sanded down the flutes in the jdm one piece lens. its still jdm DA headlights with tsx projector/hid retrofit. he did an amazing job. i have never seen DA headlights look this good.

that’s what i’m doing. hahahahaha… mine isnt comming out so great, im doing a large area, but it’s hard because im going at it by hand.
yea, i kinda lost hope in this project, and i kinda like how it looks with just the center cleared out like he did. but the fog lights & corner being clear doesnt look so great…

1SickG2 - what we are trying to do is using the JDM headlight housing w/ the newer 1 piece clear lense…
that’s the newer 1 piece headlight housing, with projector, & clear lense, right?
The only way I see this looking good IMO is to use the JDM 1 pieces and find a nice way to remove the flutes in front of the projector.
I would do something like getting a thick sticker and cutting a circle out of it a little bigger than the size of the projector. When the 1 pieces are apart, put the sticker on the inside of the lens (make sure it’s right in front of where the projector would be). This way, you can sand and polish away the flutes ONLY in the cirlcle and peel the sticker off.
This would almost be like the JDM G3 Hid headlights, where they have horizontal lines going across the whole headlight everywhere but a cirlcle in front of the projector.

If someone tried this, you could retain the stock fluted look of the one pieces and still see the HID projector.
I mean…HIDs are cool and all I guess…but it’s not worth changing the look of the headlights. I just came up with this idea as I typed it, but I’m sure someone could refine it. With a similar method the HIDs could appear to be oem dpending on how clean you clear out the circle in front of the projector.

LOL… I just brought the Car.It had 18’s on em and i didn’t want em so i had to get it home somehow …Donut and all…but I would love to put the JDM one piece headlights on it but down here in Fla everybody and they mama has em…Plus i like projectors way better and they look way hotter with HID’s.But anyways it’s got a long way to go before it looks anywhere near decent…Even with the donut it’s still my sickG2…
i might start on this again… i need to sand it down smoother and smoother with higher grit sand paper…
