ok i got the jdp carbon fiber lip for the 91 teg and im kinda stuck lol anyone have any ideas as to how they may have installed theres and what they used

you don’t have to drill it do you? that would make me cry to drill my new CF!!! 
Well you have 2 choices, either drill and use bolts and nuts or use self tapping screws. It’s not like the holes will be visible dude. If you used trim tape it would probably fly off at highway speeds. Btw I used self tapping screws and drove them through the lip and bumper at the same time, probably the easiest method.
yea i actually did both i drilled holes in the lip and used self tapping screws on the jdp lip where u will drill isnt cf
I dont trust self taping screws so I drilled holes wher the factory holes are and used bolts with the factory clip nuts to hold it up.
rivets, looks clean and is much more secure
this is most likely the method i will be using… what did you do take the stock lip off and flip it over to map out the holes???
this is the way i did mine a few months ago and its still holding up strong.
My stock lip was held on by factory hardware or at least some of it was.
What i did was take the bumper off the car and set in on top of the lip, marked the 2 outside holes drileed them, mounted it and started marking 1 hole at a time working back and forth from each side drilling one hole at a time. I cant even begine to explain how I got the ones under the grill all I can say is measure twice, drill one once.

I didn’t know that they weren’t drilled either. Hopefully this helps some people down the road if/when they come to it.
Take off your bumper, and flip it upside down. Set the lip on top, and align the edges first.
Here you can see the flat top of the lip, which meets the bumper.
Pull it away, and your OEM lip mounting holes are right underneath. The goal is to drill right where your original bolts/clips were.
So, start with one edge of the lip. Take your time, and hold the lip firmly to the bumper, while making sure it’s still even with the bumper at the end. Don’t press too hard on the drill, or it will drop down and scratch the underside of the lip.
Now, slide your clip back in, and see where it lines up.
Oops. I messed up, and it’s a bit off. No biggie. Just work the drill sideways a little bit.
Ah, now that’s better.
The next issue is that the lip was a bit high on the very outer edges, near the wheels. I had to find a few longer bolts that would reach all the way down to the nut on the clip. This is the opposite side of the first. Remember, you want to start at each end first, then work your way to the middle.
As I worked my way back and forth towards the center of the lip, I was eventually able to use the OEM bolts once again, as it laid more flat in that area.
At this point, most will be finished, but my FMIC takes up quite a bit of space (which you might’ve noticed by the cut support and grille). I then used a dremel to slowly notch out a small strip so that it wouldn’t interfere with the intercooler. Fun fact: If you ever need to cut this stuff, it smells really “sweet” when you’re burning/cutting through it with a dremel. Kind of weird.
I lost one of my bolt/clip combo’s somewhere, so I left the area that I felt was the most flush, without it.
…and finally mounted back on the car!
If you would like to have it last use some larger plastic or Nylon washers under the heads of your mounting bolts to allow for some flexibility. Although the original mounting allows some movement the polyester and vinyl ester resin is much more brittle than the original lip and will eventually crack with the bolts pulling through the lip.
