Kyle - Its a K20A…no hood problems except for the water neck on the rad.
I would think there might be an issue with the K24 if you decide to use the rbc manifold…i doubt i have the extra 20mm needed. but if anything you would probably just have to cut the webbing.
what happened with the water neck? was that an issue with the manifold? I put a k20z1 in my old crx a couple years ago and don’t remember anything about the water neck…
The water neck wouldnt clear the webbing at the front so i had to bang it in a little bit. I had the problem cuz its an aluminum Koyo rad meant for a DC5 chassis and i couldnt mount it any lower because of the traction bar brace.
I have about 10-15mm of clearance between the valve cover and webbing. The webbing is 20-25mm thick so you should be fine. As for the manifold its right up against the webbing, maybe 2mm away so it knocks with hard shifting…found that out today lol. I think cutting the webbing and shaving a little material off the manifold would cure that in your case. It might be better with the skunk2 mani but i think its a waste of money…twice the price of an rbc and same performance.
i got a few questions i was wondering if you could give me some input on.
i have a 90 rs and recently came across an 02 rsx type s, totaled in the front with 70k miles. the guy wants 3500 for the whole thing. he isn’t a honda guy, lol.
if i bought the type s, how feasible would it be to put the whole motor, dash and stock ecu in the integra? essentially use all the wiring from the type s, and just switch it out.
i know the dash would be a custom job, and the door panels wouldn’t work, but do you think this is feasible? my rear interior is completely gutted anyway, and its not my daily driver. i just think it would be cool to have the main dash in it, with a working cluster, heat and radio.
does innovative make a hydro conversion kit for the tranny? what are you doing about the fuel tank sensor? do you think i could somehow use type s fuel tank (my tank is dented up anway)?
what else besides mounts would I need considering i would have the whole type s at my disposal.
thanks for any help you can give me man. good luck with your car.
I dont know what it woud take to do something like that…im not very good with wiring. But i could point you in the right direction lol, theres a member on k20 with an F20C swap in an ek coupe and he used the entire S2000 harness. Slociviccoupe - hes normally helpfull.
My fuel level sender is stock but im guessing you would need an rsx sender if you use the dash…unless the signals are the same.
All that seems like its more trouble then its worth
Innovative does make a hydro kit. I got my hands on one a while back to check it out and i didnt have anywhere to mount it. Its pretty big…plus you need to route the clutch cable to it. You would be better off with a hasport or sonem.
You still need a header, axels, shift box adapter, ep3 idle pulley (if no ac) throttle cable, rad hoses, intake…the list goes on
djay86: You will bot be able to put the dash with the RSX Heater Component. You may be able to fit the RSX Dash on the DA Heater Component.
What I’ve seen done is an RSX Cluster in a DA dash.
Using the RSX Complete Harness could be hard since the car isn’t the same. Wire may be too short/long. You’ll have to rywire all the interior component since the connector will be different.
Yo sil or abs it is still possible to run the integras heater core with this swap right? or do you have to get rid of it completly. i know i could have it in there but im talking about it being functional
tight i just seen a couple cars without it and was curious i figured you could but i wanted to ask some people that already did it thanks for the reply
does hasport even produce that mount kit yet? couldn’t find it on their site… just wondering k swap is in the sorta near future for me i think so gonna start hoarding parts now.
alright how much of a pain was it to wire the universal harness ? Ive never done a swap like this ever so im not to sure on the wiring im confident if i have help as you guys have already been doing i will have this done without taking it to a shop.
How much did you pick the ecu(was it the jdm prc like you stated earlier and will it work with the k24 stock or does it need to be flashed?) up for just so i dont get taken for more then its worth ya know.
on another note the parts ordering has commenced super pumped on k-tuned super fast response time and a great prices. Hopefully be tearing the streets up mid summer if everything goes according to plans.
The install is pretty straight forward…less than a dozen wires and the instructions tell you exactly where to connect them. Hybrid also has amazing customer support if you have a problem.
Around 300 depending on the ecu. You shouldnt run the 2.4l on the 2l ecu unless you have a progamable unit(k-pro) otherwise it will run dangerously lean.
