what if i mounted the resevoir in the area right before the windshield you know where the valance(i beleive) is covering. would that be high enough and also where did you use spacers ? The bracket part that needs to be drilled on the actual assemblie itself?
that might work if you have the room for it. Space was to tight for me so i said screw it and put it under the dash right next to the mc. Yeah its a stupid place to put it but i dont plan on servicing it at all.
I dont have any pics but youll be able to see it once its bolted together. Basically gota put some shims between the mc and suja bracket. Mine took something like one shim for one stud and 6 for the other to get the piston working at the right angle
ok that helps. im going to put it in the spot i was thinkn. Good lookin on the shims.
And the two months i said earlier. Scratch that seperated some muscle on my back so i cant even look down. And im still waitin for my mounts witch i have no clue when there coming. so since i posted that comment nothing has been going good. I jinxed myself:(
Ouch, minor set back… keep positive and dont let that scrap the project for you.
Let me know how that suja kit works out for you, id like to know if maybe i got a messed up kit or they are all like that. Also i duno if you planned on removing the pedal assembly to install it but its deff much easier that way.
Any pic of the tilton(sp?) pedal box?
Must be a pain to make it fit, no?

we used this in the miata
http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=1097
drilling required. we bolted it and then hit it with some bead welds around the top to prevent the bolts from tearing out. the owner of the car is a huge dude and has actually flexed his last miatas firewall out 3 inches before a seam-weld seperated (after almost 10 years of track abuse)
when the assembly got here i looked at how hard it would be to put into the DA and its not much bigger than the factory setup. the steering shaft might not allow for totally optimum position, but its not large or cumbersome to where it wouldnt physically fit down there.
yo abs you just put a walbro in and im wondering about the metal rings for the fuel filetr bag. How is it supposed to hold the bag on when i tried to fit it together i seemed a little skeptical on putting it in the tank, so i want to make sure before i seal it up. Did you use anything else to secure the filter bag to the actual pump?
I’ve done a couple of these installs, and you’ll definitely be fine with little ring holding the little sock

Wow!! i had the pleasure of seeing abs-lsd’s car at a track event at Shannonville,Ont.Canada… GTFO… this has to be my fav G2 in the world!! … imagine me travelling all the way from Miami to Canada…seeing this car in the paddock…and just walking up to say ‘hello’…never expecting something this great…
…you guys will not even begin to believe how gorgeous this car is… these Pics just don’t do it justice …first of all even if this car was running a SOHC d15… it would be a work of art… but to discover a K20-R installed … just set me over the top…
Everything in the car is so very well thought out and done with exceptional dedication…seats, brakes, dash, wiring, shifter, wheels, paint, interior…not bad for a regular guy from Quebec!! Evan is also very cool peeps and very down to earth… and when he speaks of his black beauty/monster, he brims with pride!!.. Congrats !!

Thanks!! Man was that fun day or what? Did you make it back okay with the exhaust system?
Swhangin - I dont remember exactly how I installed the walbro pump. Im pretty sure i just followed the instructions and used whatever came with the kit. The only thing i really remember about it is that i had to use a big worm drive band clamp to hold it to the essembly (ghetto)
I havent been on here in a while but its cool to come back and see not one but 2 more k swaps!!
abs-lsd… Nice car!!!
How did u made the clutch worked? u did a hydro conversion?? and wat kind of intake is that??? if u dont mind the questions…

Thanks a lot!
I used the suja 1 hydro conversion. I mentioned it in an earlier post and also included a little review. As for the intake the one pictured is a chopped up b series intake. Im always happy to answer questions so dont worry about it.
Youve got a pretty nice car there yourself! I noticed you cut the hood bracing, is that a k24?
Ohhhhhh I see, I was to amazed by the pictures that I didn’t read… and are they still selling that conversion???
No, its not a k24, it the american k20a2, I’m building a k24 block wit the k20a2 head. My a2 block got crack cuz my oil pan to ground clearance was low
Yeah you just have to give them a call and they will make one. Should take a week or two.
Dam that sucks. Time to make a skid plate lol. I have my car at a decent height now and dont even have 4 inches of pan clearance.

Kool, I probably will, I like how it looks wit out the long cable in there…
Skid plate, not a bad idea, lol… wow, not even 4 inches, its crazy… but its worth it… its fun driving it… are there a lot of k swap DAs in Canada, that u know of???
