I’m going to be doing this upgrade this saturday and I’ll be sure to post pics for everybody. Got a question for anybody that’s done this though. I was test fitting the rotor and threw my wheel on there to see how they look and they’re ain’t sh*t for clearance between the rotor and inside of the rim. I’ve got the 15" nippon Gab copy’s, does anyone know if there is enough clearance with the caliper because it’s maybe an inch? Thank you.
ive got 17"s so i had no prob. but I think someone on here said they fit fine with the stock 15" fat fives. but don’t quote me. if you look through the thread i think its in here somewhere.
anyone wanna buy my legend calipers?? i may get the na1 nsx ones since i got new wheels and want some bling to my car
How much you asking? will you ship? does it come with the brackets?
LOL ok after reading all of this thread and going back and forth i’ve been left a huge mess. so here goes
Can i use the prelude bracket on the legend caliper? if so do i have to do any grinding on the rotor side or the mounting side of the bracket?
where is everyone ordering their calipers from? i’m looking for an online retailer. if i don’t get RedStarGSR’s. the local parts store have nothing
i just went to advanced auto and ordered the caliper’s “loaded” and went from there. i had a local machine shop redril my prelude rotors and shave the caliper brackets for me. they only charged me $100 for the whole thing. not to bad
I got all my stuff at Factory Motorparts. Got semi-loaded calipers which include’s the bracket but no pads. Every parts store in town couldn’t get calipers for me (Napa, Carquest, O’reilly, Autozone) exept them. I’m gonna be putting them on this week sometime and I’ll post some pics for ya Buff4Prez.
not really sure howmuch id be asking… maybe $200 or so… i’d ship of course, and comes with brackets already routed out. i must warn you its not the prettiest job. my rotors started to warp so i had to cut out a little more so nothing rubbed. let me know so i can get the nsx ones.
i’d love to but i ran into some fiancial issues so i’m gonna have to hold off and pass this to the next bidder. i gotta build a motor first anyways
no bling bling? daaaaaaaang
i would just keep the legend ones… the nsx ones supposedly run a lot… and you can paint the calipers to make them all “bling bling” for ya… lol
i really want the nsx ones…had a different generation prior, but need to get the older ones so theyll fit under my 15s.
any takers for legend calipers!? what no one wants to stop better?
bump. anyone running a bigger mc / booster with this combo? improvements or no?
discuss.
How much does it cost for the entire upgrade?
What are the costs for?:
- two 11" prelude vtec rotors
- drilling 4x100 holes in to two 11" prelude rotors
- legend calipers with pins, springs
- legend brake pads
- legend caliper brackets
Do you use an angle grinder for the inside of the legend caliper brackets?
What is the final word on the prelude caliper brackets? Do you have to grind the prelude caliper brackets or not?

- call autozone or pepboys to find out
- check with machine shop
- complete legend calipers, brackets, and pads = 150-300
And yes, with either caliipers, the brackets will need to be grinded.
for those of you who are asking about clearance issues, here’s a picture of the 11" rotors on my car w/ 15" meshies. I’m using ITR calipers, but it’s basically the same upgrade.
I’m using a 1" master cylinder that comes w/ ABS integras so the brake pedal feels pretty firm with the exception of the GAYBS mushiness
11" prelude vtec rotors at www.autozone.com range from $17.99 to $71.99
Duralast any good? Is Beck Arnley better? Is the Premium Beck Arnley worth the extra $?

Total Price:

Here are the factory Acura diagrams but no prices on Legend GS model Brake Caliper prices and no prices on caliper bracket.
I’m using ITR calipers, but it’s basically the same upgrade.
i thought the itr calipers were only 1 piston?
it is, but it’s a bigger piston than stock.
What i mean by “same mod” is that the steps for the modification are all the same.
