this is it…did he like the setup?
so anyone else have pics? where are goodplaces to buy the parts from?
yeah he had it on an ef hatch. He had to have the bracket machined down where it bolts up so the rotor was centered in the caliper. In that pic on the ebay auction where everything is bolted together, the centering of the rotor doesn’t look right at all. Maybe it’s just the angle or something though.
is anyone running this with their ABS disconnected??
i just wnat some feed back on the peddle pressure… is it stiff ??? is it loose?? or soft???
i just found out my rotors are cracking…brembo fakes… so its time to upgrade to something managable.
…also is the brake fuild fine at the DOT4 or can i change to DOT5 for stiffer braking…
any wheels lockups at all???
TIA.
its so hard to find 2 piston calipers on junkyards. all i see are 1 piston…
will the single piston work on the DA the same way as the 2 pistons? like using same prelude vtec rotors…
the point of doing the conversion is to have the 2- piston calipers…not just to say you changed your brakes to Legend ones.
your stock ones are single piston. just keep them until you can find a set of 2 pistons.
the funny things is, i found the 2 piston calipers after i posted…lol…that i couldnt find for a looonnngg time . i guess i was so lucky. haha. sadly, they didn’t come with brackets
same brackets that come on the single-piston calipers used for the upgrade, so if you can find some at a junkyard fairly cheaply (accord v6, all other 94-95 legends, itr, etc) you’ll be GTG.
:whew: :whew:…i was thinking deep about how to find those brackets on my way home
but im safe nowlol…
.THNX A LOT!!!..
so ill just hit up the yard. and get those brackets.hehe
i read somewhere that you can use the rotors and calipers off a ep3 i think i may be wrong. Ive been wanting to do this swap for a while just been tight, and if the ep3 rotors are already 4x100 then it might make it cheaper…
any thoughts on this?

if you’re talking about front brakes, EP3’s have 10.3" front rotors. So there’d be no change in diameter.
I have early EP3 rear rotors and calipers on my trailing arms. bit larger than stock.
AF,
can you give me info on how to do EP3 rear brakes?

I was under the impression you could do the rear rotors (02-04, 4 lug) as well as the rear caliper brackets and use the DA’s rear caliper… that you did not need the rear caliper assembly?
I hope this is the case, but would like more insight as well as pictures of your ebrake setup… also heard this was a tad different.
that’s 100% correct, but if you’re getting the rotor and caliper bracket from a boneyard, odds are you’re getting the caliper too. and if you have the original calipers on your car like i did, then installing the '03 calipers is an excellent idea.
They’re [EP’s] are so hard to find out here, it suck so badly.
try sam’s riverside auto salvage in des moines, IA.

the RSX rear caliper is the same thing, so if you can find rear rotors at an o’reilly or other parts store, call around to boneyards for RSX rear calipers if you can’t find EP3. same part.
I know for a fact Sam’s has some RSX calipers in stock, and i think they’re around $35 each. figure another 10-15 for shipping on the pair most likely.
so the back rotors are biger only and not the front???
and are the calipers in the front still a single piston???that would be awesome if they were dual piston calipers:bow:
thanks for clearing that up armed ferret…
i wish there were jumkyards around me closes good one is a good hour away, and that one sucks. lol owell rather buy all my brake stuff brand new anyway.

yea, the rears are larger than ours, by an inch i think. and the front calipers are single pistons.

at the risk of losing sources for many of my parts, i’m going to give up my honey-hole of a parts source.
you’re all motherfucking welcome. :giggle:
sorry to bring the this from the dead but just wondering from what people are sying is that if you use 2 piece 11in rotors like from fastbrakes.com then its straight bolt on no machining or do you still have to machine the brackets?
