You are correct on using the fast brake rotors with no machining. Unless your car is for the track I can’t see spending that much for rotors because it’s not worth it and it’s not that hard to grind down the bracket.
ok thanx.
i got 94 honda prelude vtec rotors from honda. i measured it and its barely 11’’. did i get the right rotors??
as long as it’s right at 11 inches you’re fine.
the technical measurement is 11.09 inches, so just barely over 11 would be spot on.
Wow, grinding the carrier bracket sucks ass.
I’m done for the night

Calipers–it’s basically a direct fit. I preferred to swap sides–left caliper on the right side of the car, etc. I did this because the smaller piston in original configuration is the first piston as the rotor sweeps through the caliper, and I figured it was best to just keep it this way. [/QUOTE]
I’d like to add that swapping the calipers like this also puts the bleeder valve at the top…no need to say more.
They are the right ones. I’m using the same.
Finished the setup on my 95 GSR
@ fail pic.
I have one piece of advice to anyone looking to do this, and wanting a quick way to do the caliper brackets without paying for a milling machine or someone to mill them.
20 bucks via harbor freight.
I’m trying to convince my buddy to do the upgrade since I have a spare set of calipers…
What OEM honda will not clear the legend calipers? He’s currently using Si’s. I told him I’ve seen on here that Fat 5’s will clear so I assumed Si’s would too. I think a few pages there are pics of an Si wheel with the NSX calipers…
Please verify. They’re going on a DC.
Si’s will clear fine.
i did the swap and didnt have to machine the calipers… you could put a 1/16th (1.5mm) spacer between the spindle and the rotor…
i have been driving like this for 2 years and no problems wat so ever…
What other OEM Honda wheels will? All?
any 15’ oem honda will clear… i believe
Up from the dead again. I got a deal on a set of nsx na1 calipers last week. Got front, back with ss line and extra pads for $200.00:naughty: After reading this tread twice the topic of rotor with has not been discussed. The na1 calipers are mounted to rotors that are 11.09 and 28mm thich. The Prelude rotors are 11.09 , perfect, but only 22.9mm thick. That is a 5mm difference. SO after looking around I found that 93-95 legend Gs rotors are 11.1 and 27.94 thick. Now looking at the min. service thickness of the rotors are: nsx 26mm and Legend 25.98mm. If a caliper is desgined to be used with the rotor that it is paired with, I would venture to say that the the min thickness of the rotor should equal the min thickness of a rotor that is paired with a calipers. Using the nsx/legend caliper with the prelude rotor form these number raises flags to me. I know that many people have used this comb and are happy with it.
The hub on the legend rotor is larger than the the hub on the g2, but the rotor is held to the hub by the lugs. Redrilling and using the legend Gs rotor, in my opinion would make a better pair to the caliper.
Your thoughs and opinions please.
^ can’t comment on the above. But fastbreaks.com sells 2 piece rotors that are 90-93 integra hub specs, with an itr spec disc. I’m not sure of those specs, they might be on his site, or you could probably contact him to get the info.
in the UK there’s a car called the Rover ZS which used 282mm disks and are 4x100, and are a straight fit for the G2s and EGs to upgrade. You can then use Prelude or Legend calipers no problem, straight fit in most cases. Not sure what price to get them shipped to US would be…
this will most def. be my first upgrade
Why? Do you plan on tracking the car?
nope. i drive at top speed most times and ive noticed my brakes fading a few times (ppl driving slow in the left lane:mad:). but i might just get better rotors and pads and leave it at that
You sound like an idiot. I’m sorry.
