loking for a new clutch

hey guys, not for my own car and it is for a D-serise motor, but we are going to be ruinnung about 6psi on a gt25 turbo on a d16 with 440CC injectors and a walbro255 of course. was wondering if the act SSDM clutch will hold up or should i get one a little stronger.

not looking for tones of power just a little more fun with good reliabilty.

also can i use the stock flywheel?

you could probably get away with a stock clutch and flywheel…i seen stock B-series clutchs hold upto 250 whp!!!

do NOT use the stock clutch it will slip and you’ll regret even thinking about that.

any specs on the clutch your talking about?

its accually called a ACT HC5-SPSS

and all i can find out is that it has 20-40% more clamp then stock and can hold about 186ft/torq

maybe thinkin about using the same disc with the HDSS pressure plate.

couple of my friends are using them on there boosted b16’s and they are holding 190 at the wheels.

honestly i would get something more aggressive. that sounds more like a n/a clutch.

all i can say is that when i installed my action 2ms clutch to break it in i loved it and i was still n/a. you read a lot on the internet on how stiff they are and how it’s impossible to drive but it’s not true. i was daily driving my teg at that point and although it’s true that you don’t want to be stuck in traffic with it (at least not often) it is still very drivable.
