Long build in process.

Ah, there she is

I think I feel that your HG is just a tad bid darker than mine.
Kind of a long story there heh.

The original paint is indeed Horizon Grey. But the previous owner had it Maaco’d a more blue’ish-grey color. In comparison HG has a more purple hue to it. I actually liked the Maaco color, so I had my local paint supplier match said color and I went with that. So in essence its a custom color.

This is a re-posted pic from page 1, but you can see the difference between my Maaco color, and the more purple tone of HG next to it.
Its not a true HG in all honesty. Close, but not 100%.

Oh yeah, silly me. I remember getting the explanation lol. Still looks good regardless. When do you think she’ll see road again? I’m on the east coast and havent even gotten snow yet.

I need to replace the oil-pump seal before I do much more driving… Not to mention get it tuned. I’m shooting for spring.

We have a serious lack of snow as well… I could be driving the 'teg if I really wanted to. But because of said issues, I’m holding out.

I see, well at least she gets to sit to get the issues sorted out. On the other hand, I have to DD my teg everywhere.

I planned to go turbo but I found a deal to trade my turbo parts for a 89 prelude si in good condition. She’ll soon have a friend !

Having a dd is the way to go man. I love seeing the DA inside and under a car-cover when its shitty outside.

But yeah:

Oil Pump Seal
Ball Joints
Misc. Trim Pieces
Adjust Ride Height
Sand/Buff Exterior
Install Catch-Can
Alignment
Dyno-Tune
Mount Oil-Pressure Gauge
Revamp PS Delete
Traction Bar
Replace All Suspension Bushings
JDP Front Lip
New Floor-Mats

That’s prettymuch my list of To-Do’s for the year.

well go get to work!

You folks should make a trip out this way and help! Sucks turning wrenches solo lol

Oh Man! I would give anything for a vacation right now. work has me so busy, I dont even have the motavation to work on my my teggy :frowning:

I really want to man. You are on the top of my list of peoples from the internets I would like to meet :stuck_out_tongue: If I take a road trip without a mission this year, we may come out your way.

Regardless car looks great! I honestly like your ‘custom’ color a bit more than the OEM, the darker color seems to have more depth to it. I am pretty sure I have a new OEM oil seal sitting around if you want it. I am never going to use it, at least for a few years.

Sick build man! I can’t wait to get my car back tomorrow as I will have to create a build thread myself. It’s awesome knowing that someone else lives by me now that has the same car.

Thanks man… I saw in that other thread you needed some body/paint work? My brother owns a shop and does lots of work for the UtahHondas.net crowd.

I dont know if you’re a member or not… but if you are, check out the Royal Repairs section in the Vendors Section… If there’s anything we can do for you let me know, I’ll pass it on to my brother and get you a quote.

yeah it wont be till summer time though… BTW I didn’t get my car on Friday. Should be for sure sometime this week. I’m hoping Monday or Tuesday.

One of the most minor updates ever, but I am happy about it so… :stuck_out_tongue:

I picked up a hatch-carpet from Colin for a deal I couldn’t pass up. When I bought the car there was no carpet in the rear, which was fine by me… But the longer time went on, it was somewhat of an annoyance to me. The car didnt feel ‘complete’. Everytime I’d open the hatch, it just looked so bare…

So after seeing one pop up for sale, I had a hard time saying no. $55 later, I had a carpet! I’ve had a few people tell me that its in no way worth that price… But being that a new one from Acura would run $350+, IF they were still available, which they aren’t… I feel it was a good deal.

Upon opening the package I could tell right off the bat that it was indeed in great condition as advertised… But still, I decided to pressure wash it. DAMN its amazing how much dirt and grime comes out of these things. After heated pressure-washing and vacuum-drying, this is the result:

Since its not completely dry the color looks ‘off’ in some spots, but this thing is damn clean for a ~20 year old carpet.

Needless to say Im very happy with the purchase, and am very VERY tempted to pull out the cabin-carpet and pressure wash the shit out of it lol. Maybe when it gets a little warmer outside.

Always seen you on Utahhondas but just looked through your build thread on here. It’s a nice teggy man. I’m going to do the same thing to my carpet before I get mine back on the road. I’m sure it will clean up really nice. Hopefully your car will be on the road this summer and i’ll catch you at a meet.

I’d like to see your build thread too steve. We need to have a g2 get together this summer. Give us a chance to meet the few g2 guys around Salt lake.

Thanks man… yeah I don’t dare to put a build thread on UH, too many shady ass people.

But for sure it will be out and about this summer. Hopefully its tuned by the time the UH Spring Meet comes around.

If you have the time, definitely clean out your carpet… makes a HUGE difference.

Dub that’s cool your from west Jordan man… I live in the sandy/draper area. Yea one I get my car back I’ll start a build thread. I’ll also have to setup to go pro vids too:)

I’ve been putting mine back together since Feb. Last year. She got stolen and I’m just about done getting it back to where I want it. Carpet cleaning is definitely in the plans. I agree unified, UH has a lot of shady bastards. And lots of drama haha. I look forward to being able to meet up with some other g2 drivers that are chill.

I think I recall when yours got stolen… my brother lives right around that area.

But yeah, you’ll see me around man
