Well i have a lsvtec setup and let me tell u it rocks…but back to the question, I have a nitrous setup along with it and its a 57 dry shot, well it makes this loud!!! pop sound and well i dont like that to much any suggestions on how to fix this or thats how it suppose to be. MY engine setup list as of now…B16 head, GSR cams, stock internals, ported P30 manifold, stock ls crank and rods, P73Ao ITR pistons, ITR oil pump, ls water pump, stock b16 camgears, PR3 ecu, short ram intake, NGK platinum plugs with stock wires. I just post up my engine set up just in case ya wanted to know what i have and also it may help on how to fix that loud noise after a flip the switch for the nitrous help!!!
anyone please…
where is your base timing? I would take 2 degrees out of it and spray again. sounds like your detonating or having nitrous backfires. your sure you have the correct JETS in the zex box? there are 2 jets, 1 for your nitrous 1 for your fuel. aslo double check for leaks in the vacume line from the zex box to the FPR.
ill check it out.
Ok peep this i dont have a zex box its just one silinoid “<—spell check” one going thru the firewall and connecting right to the bottle and the other straight to the cold air intake and its a 57 pill.
you mean a 75 shot. no one makes a 57 shot.
he prob. means a .57 pill. anyways, you would need bigger injectors and hondata/aem to run nitrous that way. you need something to add fuel. right now you are NOT. never use the spray again untill you get these things. you will BLOW YOUR SHIT!
yea im sorry a 57 pill…whats the biggest size injectors i can go with and do ya think the prelude injectors are a decent upgrade compared to my b16 injectors and what fuel pump should i go with as well.
You mean you don’t even ahve anything hooked up to increase your fuel pressure when spraying?
If you get larger injectors etc, you will need some sorta of an EMS to control the injectors. can’t just plugem in and go
you will need an EMS with nitrous control. without the nitrous control, you can’t inject more gas with the nitrous. AEM and HONDATA both have nitrous controls. with the proper EMS, prelude 345cc injectors would be good with a 75 shot.
if you just keep the lude injectors without better maps or fuel management, you ECU will just compensate the difference, and still only send the amount of fuel it’s supposed to. get some kinda fuel management, plug it up right, and hook up your system right, you should be fine.
yep no fuel going in while im spraying and yea i decided to sit it down for while till i get some more fuel. Like ya said it will mest things up if i dont, so the lude injectors are 345cc???wow and what are the size of the B16 injectors. So the best way is to get a fuel rail, some injectors, FMU, and well my ecu it is chipped with a Y fork system or something like that and a EMS what is a EMS?. And then ill be safe, once again its a 57 pill and its a dry system not wet.
you don’t NEED new injectors. get 2 step colder plugs (ngk). get a fuel pressure regulator. b&m makes on for like…50 bucks using ur old fpr. up the fuel pressure and u’ll be fine.
ECu’s do not automatically compensate for larger injectors.
ok, then I’ll be waiting for his sob story. when he blows his shit up in a couple of days. he still won’t have anything to add fuel when the nitrous is injected. he’ll just run more rich all the time. also 2-step colder are NOT needed. I reccomend bkr7-11’s. 1 step colder.
how much does bkr7-11’s normaly cost?
1.50 a piece, regular NGK’s
I have some more news to tell ya before i ask if i needed some more fuel when i use nitrous. Well once i open my hood after my last run at the track i saw that the nozzel was off the intake not only that it made a hole in that rubber part that is connected to the manifold. And the air intake was like sorta big…u know kinda swollen lol, just wanted to let ya in this info just in case it may help some.
you had a nitrous backfire, fairly common. expecially when your not running the spray correctly.
What do u mean not running the spray correctly?
