A buddy of mine built a low compression b18a1 for boost but ran out of time and money along the way.He finished the motor but did not install the turbo system.He installed the motor like it was(low compression)but everything else is stock except h/i/e.Is it better for him to set his distributor timming more advance or retard?
why not just put it at 16 deg ATDC where its supposed to be, if it low compression, im sure a degree or 2 of advancement shouldnt make to much difference, A higher octane fuel might be called for though.
you can advance it 2 or 3 degrees.
