i got a gsr head on a ls bottom end. im running a chipped p28 on chrome. im running DSM 450 cc/min black top low-impedance/peak & hold fuel injectors off of the da’s resistor box. when i go to start the car it will just turn over. when i take the plugs out they are soaked with gas. the fuel gauge on the gas filter says 40lbs. so my question is why wont the car start. let me know if you have any ideas or Know the reason… thanks
get some high imped. injectors like rc 440 they dont need a resister box, you are just flooding the plugs with gas so it wont start u need to get a tune dont worry about chipped computers they are just to run the car for awhile. u still have tune the a.r so at idle your not flooding the plugs. i have a set for sale my chipped comp. i was changing the plugs every week i run ngk #9s you might need a colder plug and get them gapped right
when i did my ls/vtec turbo swap my engine was turning over and flooding the cylinders also. problem = forgot to re install my ecu fuse that i had taken out the day before.
your chipped ecu is chipped to work with the 450cc injectors??
Did u wire in ur distributor? If so ck the wiring and make sure u are using the correct distributor as well. Also make sure it’s not the ecu. Try a stock ecu and see if it gets fire.
Have u also tried using the stock gsr injectors? your ecu is not going to shoot the correct fuel when u are using 440’s on a lsvtec. It only makes sense that it is flooding the chamber up. The injectors are too big. Even if u are or (are not) boosted u have to dial the right amount of fuel in with larger injectors. try stock ones and see if it cranks.
^x2 try reinstalling your stock injectors, ecu, map sensor and see if it starts. thats what i did after i got mine started but was still flooding the cylinders even though i had a basemap to run my 880cc injectors. it’s hard to create a random basemap for bigger injectors.
