i am thinking about building an LS-VTEC engine for turbo.
i know that a few of you on here are running LS OR B20 VTEC setups. i am curious to how well they perform.
i have heard mixed opinions of how good idea it is to do this.
i hear that the LS and b20 blocks can over heat a lot, due to the fact that they dont have the oil squirters that squirt up into the cylanders… and it is better to just run a completeVtec engine.
so please let me know your opinions …cuz i already have the LS bottom end…and i am thinking about swapping in a b16 wile i build the LS bottom…for temporary
thats cool, but thats not real hard to do…i want something that i can run big #s like that, and have some reliability as well:p
and my question to him would be…if you were doing it all over again…what would you do different…would you go with a full VTEC motor, or keep the LS bottom end…

Your right, it is not hard to make that much power, BUT my car is a daily driver, and as far as reliability, it has to be to get me to and from work and wherever else I want to go…
If I had to do it all over again, I would have waited another 4 months, untill my motor was fully built, just for peice of mind…
( and to save money )
Now I am into another motor about 3g’s, so I would FULLY build it FIRST, instead of having to waste money on another full setup…

so what engine do you run?..LS-VTEC??
ya i definetly think building first is good…but b16s are pretty cheap…and my LS is loosing compression in 2 cylanders pretty bad and 1 by a little…and i have had my turbo stuff since the end of the summer and im getting real anctious to get it going…
