shite, those GC subies are my favorite. looks like it could use less intercooler piping though, depending on what turbo hes running, he might be able to run the charge air through the IC piping in the opposite direction and eliminate about a foot and a half of piping. if the charge piping came from the turbo and went down the passenger side of the car and into the FMIC, youd eliminate all the extra piping that crosses over the engine and behind the intake manifold (this also helps with heatsoaking of the charge air pre-IC). a friend with an 01 recently went with a similar setup with his GT35R and said that boost response was noticeably better and boost doesnt fall off at the very top like it did. and, if your boyfriend (or yalls preferred fabricator) is savvy enough, there wont be any materials cost either, pretty much all you do is just cut off both ends of the charge piping, reclock the turbo slightly if needed (or possible) and re-fab the charge piping to fit. i dont know if its common with subarus as ive not ever owned one, but the three other high horsepower subaru guys in town did the same thing after they saw what it did.
if hes as serious as his car looks, i hope that helps to make his setup a little better. beautiful car none the less.
Oh…haha well having the compressor on the other side is the usual way to do because it’s easier. But having the compressor on the passenger side allows me to have the full radiator and to have piping for my intake. Having the compressor on the driver side only has room for you to have a filter. And you gotta run a half radiator right? for sure! I’l lgo check it out

I dont know much about subarus but he does have a rotated kit so the turbo doesn’t sit at its stock location. and it is clocked so the piping goes around to it. Turbo sits in the back of the engine bay on the passenger side. He actually mocked up that rotated kit with the 30/76 and sells it. So it works well with a lot of people. Thats all I can say lol. But I’ll for sure share the idea with me! thanks! and thanks! I love that car.
Spending lot of time on the baby today. Hoping there might be some good news by the end of the night. Will post some updated pics later on tonight. Got the bung on the oil pan, have the oil return line on working on the oil supply lines and a few minor things right now Wish me luck guys! Its getting so close. :ethug::lol:
text me pics of progress asap!!

yeah, sorry i dont know shit about subarus, just seemed like they kinda stumbled upon it one night in the garage so i didnt know if it was common knowledge and the guys in town are just dumb or what.
back to the integra though, thats the real star of this show
Bung on the oil pan
Oil return line
Oil Supply line
So tried to get her started yesterday but it was late and when things were ready to put some oil in it and start the car. We forgot that we probably have some shavings in the piping since we didn’t blow all of the piping out yet. So didn’t want to start it and it was too late to take it apart and blow it out. So…car didnt start last night I leave for vegas tonight and wont be back till next week. But hopefully get the thing tuned next wed?! That would be the highlight of my life. That is all.
Sent you one! Did you get it?

Lol we’re on the same boat then. I just know that subarus usually run more piping than hondas do and with a rotated kit it doesn’t help much either.
hehe she is a star!! My star.
that bung looks a little low Mini. have you filled the pan to make sure the return drain is higher than the full (or even a little overfilled) oil level? it seems like you guys know what youre doing, but ive seen a few good turbos get peaced out due to oil backing up in the return line from it not being higher than the oil level. we dont want your girl out of the game early from something trivial like that. just another observation ive made. hope you have fun in vegas and dont do anything you wouldnt post on facebook!
i have doubts also on the bung. usually you put it as high as possible. i have never seen it that low on a honda. is there oil in the pan when you took that pic?
Finally home from vegas! So glad to be home. 5 days in vegas was way too much for me. haha
As long as the turbo is higher than the oil pan its fine. The only car I think that it does matter is if its a porsche. So working on the car again today guys! And probably get it started. ;D
Got the baby started today. Heres a test vid of when we were making sure that everything was okay. Still have alot to be done but…should hopefully be ready for tuning on Wed if he has an opening spot. Then we’ll tackle the small stuff later.
awesome! i hope you have better luck then i do. however my ls-t ran amazing i should have just ran that engine to the ground.
Yea, I was pretty excited to hear it start last night. going to do some more work on it tonight to finish it up for now. It still needs some work to be done. But half of it is going to be done after the tune. Dump tube tonight and battery tie down.
sounds pissed!
Excellent work there laydee, cant wait for the first ride:up:
It’s Aliiiiiive! yaaaaay! congrats mini! it’s been a long time commin’
It probably is pissed too lol. “Why haven’t you driven me!” I shore did drive it last night though
Oh I can’t wait either. Hopefully I’ll bring it out to visit you at work next weekend with it if it is tuned. I can’t this weekend cause my sisters having her wedding so I’ll be too plenty busy to do anything else.
Lol JELLO!! Its my cup of cherry jello…haha Thanks! It has been. It was originally suppose to be only 2-3 weeks turned out to be almost 3 months. Which most builds always do…poop.
I took the girl out for a drive last night. and got her first tank of e85. Yesterday got the dump tube on, a new battery tie down and my boost gauge in. Here are some photos I took while out and a vid. Nothing to see but I liked the sound of that idle so I recorded it anyways and thought I’d be kind and share lol.
Injectors going in tonight and scheduled to tune tomorrow at 3! :tapfing:
sounds freakin awesome ! so when i take my trip over there, you gonna take me for a spin?
Oh snap almost tune time! Excited to see
