Good luck with the install Integraevan. Let me know if you have any problems with the signal lights not cancelling when you make a left or right turn.
I’ve asked this question earlier on, but I don’t think anyone knows or maybe I’m not explaining myself properly.
Hey, I have that same toy car! lol.
The steering wheel looks awesome, thanks for posting the pic. Can’t wait to get mine installed. I don’t have Cruise Control, so I might not have a problem with the horn.
As for the steering wheel, it is exactly the same diameter as the stock wheel, The spline count is the same, it does bolt up fine, however there are a few things that need to be done to make everything work correctly. Below is a list of what I did to make it fit.
To make it fit better I cut off about half of the shaft on the back, Created new notches for the thing that turns the blinker off, and there is a gap about an inch wide between the column and the wheel, have to extend the clockspring poles so it will still turn with the wheel, (so the wires don’t get twisted). And get the plug for the cruise from the year car the wheel came out of. I also built a ring to cover the gap between the wheel and the column. Kinda was a pain, but in my book worth it.
The leather and the feel of the new wheel is great.
Hey 93HorizongrayDA, the wheel that you are talking about, is it the 99 GSR or the JDM ITR non srs? I believe they’re both leather and that’s what I want.
“To make it fit better I cut off about half of the shaft on the back, Created new notches for the thing that turns the blinker off”
do you mean that the new notches that u created is from the same size and place that u cut?
“there is a gap about an inch wide between the column and the wheel, have to extend the clockspring poles so it will still turn with the wheel, (so the wires don’t get twisted)”.
-I know there is an inch wide between the column and wheel, but what is the clockspringpoles? How to extend it then?

The wheel I have is from a 99 GSR it is an SRS wheel.
If you have had your wheel off, you will notice there are 2 notches in the shaft. Since I cut the shaft I had to create new ones.
There are 2 little plastic poles that interlock with the steering wheel, since they are short they need to be extended so they will interlock with the new wheel.
I got the clockspring assembly from a 99 integra and i used the outter ring for the ring that I fabricated. Since you get the clockspring you will have the plugs to create your adapter for everything to work.
I will get pics, just give me time I will have to remove it so I can show you what I mean.
Well, I got it installed…it was SOOO easy. Took me all of five minutes to do. The horn was cake, too. Inside the wheel are two wires that connect to the center cap of the wheel. The white wire hooks up to the prong that’s dead center on the wheel, and the black wire hooks up to the prong that is just off center, right underneath the small plate.
Looks great!! Thanks for posting the pics. Do you have any problems with the signals not cancelling properly? Or do they cancel just the same as before?
Hey IntegraGirl, thanks! The signals cancel the same as before. Basically everything stays the same, except the wheel lol. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me.
P.S.-the horn hookup was really simple (seeing how i don’t have cruise control). When I took off the stock steering wheel, I noticed the horn shoe attached to the hub (on the steering column). There are two wires inside the JDM wheel, one white and one black, that hook up to prongs on the back of the wheel center cap. (White wire goes dead center, black wire goes to the prong a little off center.) When you push the horn button, the signal is sent through the white wire, leading to the hub, where the horn shoe picks up the signal, then it beeps!
no signal return, gotta find all the parts for it though… as long as it fit, and i could bolt it down, i’ll still use my middle finger as my horn… haha
but really, no horn, no cc, no signal return… it’s :ghetto: but fine for me…
