I have a starion/conquest intercooler and I’m going to be putting in my turbo right away. One thing that worries me is mounting the intercooler.
Here is a picture of it:
Not the Exact one, But same style
The thing that worries me is making it fit in there nice a perfect with out it hanging out the front grill. I know this is possible some how, but can some explain how to do it? thanks!
Are you going to keep your AC? If so, the plumbing is going to be different than if your not going to keep it. If your are, the piping out of the turbo is going to go through the passenger side fenderwell, probably to that first end tank on the right(via a 90 degree elbow. From the other endtank it would just be a straight shot back to the passenger fenderwell up to your intake. If your not going to run AC, you may have to be more ingenuitive in running it, since the piping out the turbo usually runs from the driver’s side.
Also, that intercooler should fit behind your bumper fine, you may just have to trim a bit of the bumper support here and there.
