Thanks man! In due time
Nice, I would have done the same thing!
Lol, see what had happened was…
Saturday was National Record Store Day, so I took a nice little drive with my boy Bruce Banner and medical apparatus down to Denver and picked up something for my listening pleasures (had to limit myself at three albums, lol). Got Medicine Show No. 1 with Guilty Simpson though, definitely some real good tracks on there
I’ll definitely be at this Saturday though, really need to start making some progress on this beast
Fucking Bruce!!!
Indeed. Its a holiday tomorrow and all I have is that fresh out. Fawk!!!
Damn man, you should come up here if you aren’t busy. I got you!
i am gonna have rear quarters for sale and i have a complete totaled 92 gsr all stock if ya need parts has everything!!!runs great
It’s definitely been a while, but I finally got a chance to go put in a little work this past Sunday. All of my wrenching time has been invested into this 87 Prelude with a swap I’m working so it felt really nice to be able to put some work in on my own. Anyways, Sunday I went and picked up a hoist from my buddy and got the motor out by myself. It went pretty smooth and didn’t really have any snags besides the usual “bitch pin”, but BLKACK and I showed it what was up yesterday, lol. So the motor/transmission is out, and currently for sale, so if anyone is looking for a complete B17 I’ve got one as well as a short-geared YS1, let me know! I’ve got some new plans for this guy
This hoist is BEAST!
For those that think the B17 head is any different, or has an earlier casting number, this proves that it PR3-1 PR3-2 PR3-3 doesn’t correspond to the order they manufactured (manufactured 91, but has a PR3-3 casting):
good to see you putting in work
… I want a short-gear’d YS1
Good progress man! Always feels nice to have that part out of the way… Now begins the REAL work!!!
Thank you sir!

Buy it! hahaha. But yes, now the fun begins! Should be over there on Monday putting in some more work. Hopefully have my daily DA aligned and registered too
Here’s some pictures of the Prelude incase anyone was interested:
When we first got the old A20 out
Old A20 ready to scrap:
New driver, pass, rear mounts fabricated and welded up
Cut off the OBD0 plugs and soldered an OBD1 harness in, also moved the ECU from the rear driver’s side quarter panel (across from where our ABS computers are) to the front passenger foot area like most Hondas:
Had to clearance the driver and passenger frame rails for the crank pulley and transmission
I had to cut up four axles (Two Integra’s for the outers and two accord/preludes for the inners) then sent them out to raxles and got some nice upgraded pieces back
A final shot of the bay (like my intake :)) and how the engine sits (your boy BLKACK had to trim up the hood to get it to shut)
Wiring all loomed up, and ECU mounted to the floor:
Made a bracket for the coolant reservoir
The interior all buttoned up with a fresh black dash, and third gen steering wheel. PLX M300 is mounted under the CD player for stealthyness
Whipped up some seat brackets to get the third gen Prelude seats to fit. You should have seen how my buddy attempted to mount these, LOL
One of the rust bucket on the ground:
And just for shits/giggles here’s some of the welds I put down
Less A1, more B-Series!!
The welding looks good dude! My welds look like trash… But then I’ve only done it maybe 3 times? lol Definitely is an art.
Some nice fabrication going on here!
been wondering what you have been doin with the db2.good to see some progress
