Less A1, more B-Series!!
The welding looks good dude! My welds look like trash… But then I’ve only done it maybe 3 times? lol Definitely is an art.
Some nice fabrication going on here!
Ha, the B17 is probably the last of a B series you’ll see in this thread
But I actually got rid of the old A20A in the Prelude and swapped in an F22b1 with 30k on it. ID1000s, Walbro 255, Neptune, this thing is going to boogie once I slap this brand new Holset on
Thanks for the compliments though man, I really appreciate it. I went to school for it and have worked in the industry so I’ve got some hours under my belt, lol
Thanks! Hopefully things will progress quickly from here
Dayum! You’ve been busy! It is good to see the lude sooo close to firing up, I am sure dudeman is happy. IMHO he got some of the highest quality and knowledgeable work in CO at any pricepoint, well done sir!
Those closeup shots of your welds are beautiful! Like I keep saying, you and Justin should get together and geek out lol.
And you probably already know this, but damn I wish I had the cash for that swap. Trying to sell mine, but everytime I see a full local 17 swap I want it. Dumbass.
Well, soon enough my car will be done and I will be taking it up to lend a hand. My mechanic skills have grown, so I might be useful for more than a tool running biotch or cleaning person. Hahahahaha
Sooooo…I have to ask. Between your 3 DA’s (ok 2 DA and 1 db2), what is going to happen to all of them? 1 DD, 1 track, 1 K series badboi. Yes! If the swap is in OK condition it might be fun to put in the red one. Or not lol.
Appreciate the kind words sir! I’ve definitely got a lot of hours into that Prelude
Yea, like Shelby said, nobody really knows about the 17, so I’ve had no bites on mine either. It’s looking like I’m going to keep it and rebuild it and put it in my daily. Or put together that shell that’s in my garage, LOL. I just got a new job on Monday, so this will be moving right along
The DB2 is going to get the K. I was just over there tonight for an hour putting in a little work. Should have some pictures up tomorrow of the progress
Damn, the only picture I took isn’t current, lol. All I got accomplished though was clear out the driver’s side of the engine bay. All of the power steering stuffz was removed too, minus the rack.
Anywho…Here’s a sneak peak of my new whip (just west of Channing, TX) I’ll post the story later, but thanks aka kid! I dig the car alot
Forgive my noob-ness, but what color is that? And is it OEM? Looks dope. And what exhaust?
Isle Green! G-71P. I’m pretty certain it’s a respray though :(. It’s way cleaner than my other 93 LS so I’m happy. And the exhaust is a black Ex-Mag!! WOoT! Current mod list is in the cars for sale section, but I have a couple things to sort out, so hopefully I have some time this week to take care of it
DETAILS damn you!!!
It’s quite the addiction man!
 this is so true.
congrats on getting her back to Colorado even though she threw up one hell of a fight:)
Thanks brotha, it definitely was a hell of a struggle
Here’s some picture of the drive up from Fort Worth:
About 30mins north of Amarillo:
Kinda creepy how all these cows were looking at me :worry:
Yea I had one before (the one on Deceptakahn’s car) and I saw first hand how they age, LOL. I’ll probably just leave it though, I can always just build myself a new system anyways
BLKACK and I are twins now! haha Thanks man, I’m stoked to have something clean again
Haha, yea buddy! Just started at Merritt Equipment this week building aluminum toolboxes so I’ll definitely be burning up lots of rod! Shit is super fast paced, but it’s helping me work on my speed as well as consistency. Can’t wait to start laying some beads down on BLKACK’s car!
Simply gorgeous. We are soooo happy for you brah (xD), though I must admit the cows got more attention from my kids than the car. Silly children. My wife stocked for you, she loves the color.
I must admit the stigma of Texas holds true. I can smell the cow shit from here, don’t forget to wipe your boots
Lastly, since you already stated you might be making a custom exhaust with your skills; you already have a buyer for the RSR. No need for a sale thread, I will give you what you ask. IF you sell it that is. Since my next daily will be a 90-93 Integra and all. Why the hell am I so stuck on these cars?
Thanks Carl! Lol, yea that spot I stopped had nobody for miles. It was pretty awesome, just me and the cows!
Hahaha, I’ll keep you in mind if ever get rid of the exhaust
And Senor GRNACK, we shall soon show everybody what’s up around these here parts! I’m pretty sure this new car of mine is going to get some loving from my Miller too
Anywho, over the past week I’ve been slowly getting stuff of old daily and on to my new car. So far: I’ve swapped out the Alpine head unit for an OEM Acura CD player I bought brand new a couple years ago. Have a set of BNIB Infinity References for the front, need to make some MDF rings for them soon. Until then, it’s some JBLs :(. Also have a set of References off of my old daily I need to put in. And earlier this week I took Ol’ Green Tea up to BLKACK’s job and we took off the Illumina/Sportline set up and installed my Koni/GC/tophat combo. Rides MUCH better! Also over the course of the week I pulled off my one pieces from my old car. I’ve been lazy and they’ve degraded so it was time to freshen them up. Got them done the last night thanks to GRNACK and they look “VeryNice”
What I started with:
After a quick sanding with 600:
I think this is the difference between 2000 and 3000, can’t remember…
The one on the bottom was before we used the finishing pad:
Sorry, I didn’t snap any pictures after I was all done
This is how it’s sitting currently (got OEM bumper lights on there too)
Next up, going to sell off the wheels, get tires mounted on my other ones and an alignment. Should be able to get this all accomplished this week
