Haven’t really done anything to either of my cars in a long long time. I don’t think I’ve even changed the oil since that track day, hahahaha. Anyways my rear brakes were going out so I picked up some used RSX calipers and fresh EP3 rotors/pads. It was the same price as replacing the stock parts so I figured why not. I’ve had this setup before (with the 11", single piston fronts) so I’m pretty content with it. Also picked up a set of Kosei K1s, 15x7 with a +38 offset (instead of the usual +35s that everybody has) and slapped those on recently. Need to get some 205s on there, not a big fan of the 195/50/15, but they’ll do for now :slight_smile:

I hate this car, a lot. Oh, BTW. The DB2 ended up getting scrapped as did my other 90LS shell. Just bought a good running 90 DB1 for $800 the other day though, so as soon as I tidy up GRNTEA, she’s GONE!

Sooooo… ¿Qué pasa?

Ugh. Swapped the motor out of that DB1 (it was just a stock B18A1) into GRNTEA since the timing belt went out (didn’t want to have to deal with potentially resurfacing the head and what not). Then the front tires blew out a little bit ago. That’s what I get for not getting an alignment done after the K1s. And a couple months ago the upper radiator neck broke off, leaving me stranded yet again. Luckily I had a spare, and swapped that out on the side of the road. Just got some fat sixes from Carl about a month ago, so it was all good until today when I went outside to go to work. There was a nice pool of coolant under the front :frowning: So I get to deal with that tomorrow. This car has been the worst I’ve ever owned, it sucks man. Been trying to find the opportunity to get rid of her all summer long, and working mostly six and seven days a week means no time to put it on stands and address everything. Can’t wait till it’s gone. Hoping to be able to find a nice original DB2 soon!

Damn, sorry to hear that it’s giving you so much trouble… Everytime I drive mine I expect a catastrophic failure of some sort.

On a lighter note, there are like two or three DB2s here currently on the market… You and Carl should make a trip out of it! :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s all good man. At least I’ve the knowledge to deal with the problems verses having to take it to a shop all the time. Which is why the DA is the only car I’ve ever had, LOL.

Oh man no more integra’s good lookin out though unified! I am on the lookout for a LS jrsc for my crv though lol. Agaazi if you decided on a road trip let me know I would go with you been getting wanderlust pretty bad.

After some digging, it turns out that the only DB2 still on the market here is going for a small fortune… Guy wants 6k for his AGP with 150k miles. While I do love them I find that a hard dollar amount to fork over.

Oh wow! Yea I’m definitely alright on that one. Appreciate ya checking for me though. I think I’ve a pretty decent one with a fresh rebuild on the B17 from a reputable seller, so I’m gonna contact him in the next couple of days and see what’s up.

Fuck. Did you make it out to that? I feel bad you came out and I wasn’t even there, lol. Plan now though is to sell the green car and pick up either a DB2 I’ve been looking at or a DB8 w/GSR bottom end, Type R head from a good friend. And if I get the DB2, remove the Koni/GC setup from the green car(this is the third car I’ve had’em on, lol), the one pieces, and my system and swap onto the DB2. Or if I get the DB8, swap OEM parts onto the green car and keep’em for another DA/DB projects.§

I saw those. The green one is nice, a little more than I’d like to pay though. This is the one I’m looking at. If he says it’s ready for the trip back, I’ll be flying down to Florida this coming week to pick it up! Koni/GCs (this is the car the Koni/GCs I have, were meant for. He sold them to me dirt cheap too :)), MR-5s, all the major maintanence is done, and only 12x,xxx miles!
