my 91 DA w/ B18C1 (rare color) **slow build in progress**

The taurus skirts aren’t a bad option either, but I’d go with the DC over EK

Looks like a fun build so far. The GSR powerplant sure beats the hell out of having an LS motor, ehh?

Just a quick question though… Why are you doing drilled/slotted rotors? You do realise the best performance/reliability will come from a quality ‘blank’ rotor with a set of quality pads? If you’re doing it just for looks then I suppose I understand, but your braking will actually suffer in comparison.

To be honest, I think the car looks goofy with the sideskirts at its current height and with those steelies. Even if you lowered it you need a lip or something as the sides are the lowest part of the car. Only offering criticism because you asked, not like you are one of our 3 resident idiots here that I have stopped being nice to.

Otherwise it looks like a very solid start. Some wheels and a drop and that thing will look transformed.

+1. Save your monies, spend elsewhere, be happier.

to Deceptakhan, read the first post of my page. I dont give two craps about what the car looks like with the ride height or minus lip. Im in no rush to look good but sacrifice quality. I will guarantee that when the cars dropped with EK sideskirts, rims, front jdp lip, with good photography you wont be saying that then. lol

Any criticism is appreciated. But if you have the time to criticize take the time to read the post a little bit, or at least the first post. thanks for the bumps

if i wanted to just look cool driving down the street itd a been dropped already lol but since im buying top quality parts as much as i can and escpecially in certain components im buying parts for function over impressing people.

Also on the rotors u guys are recommending, whats the general prices? i dont drive it alot but i need rotors bad so im tryna figure it out. But im not trying to buy parts to just be replaced within a year or two.

Im on a 2000$ budget and these are the parts im getting

AMR suspension
ETD traction bar
momo steering wheel setup
brake setup
and few various parts

taurus skirts?? i dunno im partial to the EK’s on DA’s but the DC’s are very nice indeed.

Yes you can rock Taurus side skirts, its actually been a pretty popular route for people.

As far as the rotors, I like Brembo blanks… they’re softer than some rotors so they offer a pretty mean initial BITE, but at the same time, they will wear quicker since they’re softer. If you want a quality rotor that will last longer, go get a NAPA blank rotor. I dunno if they have NAPA Gold rotors, but if they do id grab those. I can’t remember the price… get on their website and check em out.

Pads, I’m digging my Axxis pads so far, no complaints or issues.

Like I said, a setup like this will outperform and outlast a drilled/slotted setup any day of the week.

can u show me a picture of a DA with those sideskirts. Thanks im going to look into the NAPA rotors, and i appreciate the insight. ima def take it into consideration.

thanks for the brake info unified112, i checked out napa and i this is the route im going now. Im going to do this setup just tryna price some pads now. if i can im gonna get the napa ultra front rotors with brembo rears. stainless brake lines and some axxis pads.

You’ll love your brakes after you’re finished with em.

As far as pictures of the Taurus sides, there is one pic I know of here: http://forums.g2ic.com/showthread.php?198243-Taurus-sideskirt-thread-help.&p=2084127&viewfull=1#post2084127

Just search the site for the keyword Taurus and im sure you’ll come up with a few more pics.

thanks for the picture, but stubbornly ima stick with the Ek sides. In my opinion petes, datz weaksauce, da had em first and i’ve always loved them on DA’s since.

Also where can u get gauge cluster bulbs? to change them from white to amber is what im trying to do.

Nice project so far Turtle. I just hope you dont have to BAR or Smog it legally. Your gonna have a hell of time smogging it. I too had a DA with a B18C1 swap in it. Let me know if you need any info on passing Smog. So far really nice build.

thanks bro i was gonna try n find a backdoor smog. i wont pass legally. cars got aftermarket header 2.5" piping wit no cat. no cel’s. usdm motor stock intake. but any info for future references would be great.

nice going on the build so far…

do you live out here in palmdale too???..

not palmdale but around dat area.

do you guys think a motor engine damper made for a DC integra will fit the DA?? heres the link.

http://www.robearracing.com/pd-ingalls-stiffy-engine-damper-integra-94-01.cfm

i dont see why it wouldnt work since its mounted with bolts and seems adjustable enough to make work for DA chassis. But im not sure.

My car experiences slams when i take off hard from either the front crossmember being cut or the engine moving and hitting firewall.
So im going to for sure replace front crossmember with traction bar but i was thinking of getting this too to be extra safe.

Also the ETD traction bar is coming with the front motor mount for extra support.

if you ever need a hand…hit me up…always down to work a DA!..

you should bring it to the meet sometimes we have in Lancaster where the old Best Way used to be on K and Division…saturdays around ten:Thirty…

Very nice da bro! I can’t wait to start tearing into my 93 da. Oh yeah love the color to man keep up the good work.
