my 91 DA w/ B18C1 (rare color) **slow build in progress**

You need a GSR throttle cable… just go to acura and order one… they’re like $50 though. You could rig something up with the stock cable, but it just looks 100x cleaner with a gsr cable… not to mention piece of mind that it will not fuck up in the middle of a drive.
what did you do to remove the map sensor, etc. from the firewall? my JDM b18c is going in this week, and I’d like to get rid of all of that map sensor clutter while its out. what is necessary to remove it?

also, what cable-to-hydro kit are you using? the Innovative kit? have any pics of it by any chance?

another question for you, what throttle cable are you using? GS-R or or factory DA cable? and what about the main fuel line that goes from the fuel filter to the rail? thanks in advance.
the map sensor for the gsr is on the throttle body. All you have to do is remove all that shit from the firewall on your DA, cut the wires and extend the wires for the plug to go to the throttle body.

As for the main fuel line, i think I used the stock one… i’m not sure though. My b18c head came with the IM with the fuel line attached so I MAY have used the GSR one… i can’t remember. I DO know that it didn’t go on properly though and I had to attach it to the fuel rail a bit skewed… hard to explain with words, but you’ll know what I mean when you get there. The main thing is that i didn’t have to modify anything or buy any extra fuel lines… Whatever you have with you will work!

ok so today i finally was able to drive my integra and this stupid light comes on and hasnt stopped blinking and making a noise since… its the middle one right above the light for when the hatch is open.
it looks like some sort of exhaust light maybe. could somebody please tell me what it is??

also my speedo cable is always popping out. how can i keep it in. i have a hyrdaulic B16 tranny. i put the cable in on the transmission end but when i get on it. i get a cel. code 17. could somebody help.

Thank you

im trying to figure out what light that is under the solid red one for the ebrake

to the above post…

hmm, I don’t recall that one. is that a JDM cluster, or something? especially considering its in KPH. perhaps it has something to do with exhaust temp? But do DA’s even have a sensor that detects that? Maybe 02 sensor related? I have no clue, man. Wish I could help more.

ok so for future reference, that light i was trying to figure out was for the seatbelt sensor. my passenger side was unplugged lol.

well i finally got sidemarkers installed, put the block off plate on and relocated the stereo to the glovebox, got floormats, installed both upper strut bars.

i just got the whole brake system, so hopefully i can install it tomorrow easily.

pictures coming soon

so today was finally the day for my teggy. everything mechanically is fixed. its been a long time dreaming lol.

so i did the entire brake system yesterday, new rotors and pads. installed the C-pillar bar. unfortunately my caliper cover was rubbing so i had to wait to today to pull it out.

today i got that clip i needed for the speedo cable from the dealer. when i got it i was like how is this gonna help. but thankfully i have a good mechanic neighbor who helped out with installing it.

WHOLA, full vtec all gears full throttle. oh man it was great i have never been able to rip it fully like that before.

made me totally love my teg that much more and made me respect it that much more…
LONG LIVE THE D.A.

hopefully next week ill be able to take some high res pics again… now with all the new parts installed. i cant wait to get that jdp lip, and rim/tire setup and supension lol

ok so i took some better pictures now that i figured out a way to get the images from camera to ps3 to pc lol. sorry for the dust.

also i made a quick vid of a 1st to 3rd pull… hope u guys like

my cable to hyrdo setup broke at the bottom lever. a bolt snapped. but my lever from inside the transmission has alot of all around play… doesnt seem good.

so i made a video demonstrating the play in the transmission lever… it definitely only has play for half of the opening… i also took pictures of the lever that broke off and the remaining assembly still on the car.

heres the actual lever that broke…

bump really need some help

That amount of play is perfectly normal. Just contact Innovative about the lever and see if they’ll replace it for free/cheap. All you really can do. The release lever in the transmission is stopping in the middle where it needs to. Mine does the same. Just make sure when installing the kit, that you adjust the nut on the Innovative kit so that there is no more play in the release lever. The “ball tipped” lever, if you want to call it that, should be resting snugly against the release lever for the clutch. No play at all. If you can wiggle it, its too loose.

thanks bro, yeah im ditching the placeracing setup and going with hasport… i already got it and i think its a much better design. i just got to wait for the clutch cable… any insight onto replacing the clutch cable??? i never messed with one yet.

ok so i fixed that cable2hydro problem… replaced it with the amazing HASPORT cable2hydro conversion which is in a totally different place than previous one… not only did it fix my clutch problem it fixed the speedo cable issue as well. i took pics will post soon… highly recommend.

today came the day my car finally got the parts it desperately needed. new wheels. jdp lip. ngk wires. lug nuts. and its about to get a ton of garage work by me and my boy… EIBACH is gonna be sick. look for me there cuz ill be checking out all DA’s…

replacing the clutch cable is a simple job. once you loosen the tension nut all the way. you see how the cable pull out of the lower portion and give it a good tug to get it out of the top portion of the bracket. the pedal assembly is similar to the throttle cable in the way its mounted to the T/B IIRC.

Very similar. ^

As they said, it’s a 30-45 minute job. ADJUSTING it, could be time consuming, if you’re particular about pedal feel. Play with it a bit where it links up to your Cable/Hydro kit, until you get the feel/release point that you want.

Might have to take a few trips up and down the road to get a good idea of its engagement points. But, once you get it right, you’re in heaven again. Nothing like all new components to make you hard while driving, lol.

At first I was like
:squint: :squint: :squint:

But then I was like

lol. I win

a sneak peak pic at some recent work ive been doing… mostly the valve cover and i also added a nice front lip. more pics coming this weekend.
