My 91 LS Build.

I had a pretty “clean” (as everyone put it) EF. I decided to hop on a deal for a 91 LS, so we did the trade, and the new owner i trust will take care of her, and it wont be the last i see of the car cause ill be doing a lot of work to it still.

With that out of the way here is my new bucket. 1991 LS Integra

Here was the first time i saw the car

After the tag and title switch drove it home. We had to leave one of his wheels on cause he didnt have the key. Brought it over to efrens and we got it off real quick

all 4 wheels on it now

Then i headed straight to the alignment rack. Here is where i confirmed my suspicion about a front end accident. The caster on the right wheel is out a degree, and as well the front parts dont fit perfectly. not a problem as… i seem to had the same problem on the hatch LMAO.

And an epic tale to begin the ownership of the car. My buddy (pictured below doing the alignment) took it for a test drive. As he turned the corner the 3 of us herd a horn going off…and driving … and going. my buddy comes back around the corner and low and behold…the horn is stuck on lmao. All he did was turn the corner and it started going. We ended up disconnecting the fuse, then later on the horns so i could have my tail lights back lol.

Im about to go work on the car now. more pics and updates in a few hours.

Stripped most of the tint, still have the rest of the rear window to do (fuckin thing is huge)

I actually love the sound this muffler has, lets hope i dont have many issues with the local PD.

the rain started setting in, so i closed up the car and started working on the front.

pulled the bumper, and headlights. fixed what i could of the turn signals, both sides need the right part to slide and lock in, one i dont have the right one at all. Hooked up the fog lights, just need to get my PIAA yellow H3 bulbs from my friend now.

the headlight bulbs are the complete wrong one. the factory ones are still there, and the visibility is absolute crap (obviously). So im ordering some H4H bulbs, and i already cut the H4 plugs from the junkyard so i can wire them up when they come in asap (actually in the process of ordering them now)

The bumper lights, one was completely missing the fixture and lens, pick up one from the junkyard, the bulb and filament were there so i was able to just plug it up. As for the other side, the amber lens and fixture where there, but its missing the filament and bulb, so i have to pick that up as well.

the side markers are actually wired the way i like them (blink only), i just have to fix the wiring on it, cause its hella ghetto, and scared the shit out of me lol.

So…i completely fell in love with the car when i looked at this pic…

and i think ive decided what color im gona paint the car…

so now im about to finish stripping the rear tint, and rain-x the crap out of the windows cause of the nasty storm im gona have to drive through tomorrow… FML. Also will add the mud flaps i got for the car.

There is still plenty to add and fix on the car, so ill keep everyone updated.

Got home around 5ish today after picking up my new center console for 5 bucks, and chillin with kerby for a bit.

Came home and got to work (right after dinner)

after hooking up and making sure the radio worked, I removed the whole harness (BTW IS FOR SALE, Ad will be up in classifieds soon, works like a charm). Also peep the uber awesome cut shifter… needless to say, im in the market for a 94+ teg shifter, or a dual bend shorty.

all my black panels in (as you can see im missing about 5 little things, and the full front will be done, all i will need now is the upper panels from a canadian 90-93 because i have the pillar mounted seat belts, and do my headliner (stay tuned for that, prob doing that this weekend since i have to strip the car down to find these damn leaks. Also i put in all my little goodies off the hatch into here

i need a few more of these (2 sets actually so i can change the map lights and the rear hatch light)

Tomorrow i will continue to work on the car. This weekend im reinstalling the alarm (actually got it working now :slight_smile: ) and trying to sort out these wiring problems and replace the alternator. Also oil change and a minor tune up as well as figuring out where my leaks are so i can start to fix them (car body and motor)

Woke up and decided i was going to change the alternator, got everything apart and inspected the pulley for noise and there was none. i got the belt off and found this

and after testing the alternator i have come to the conclusion, i have a rats nest of wiring to go through cause that isnt the problem lol.

Also i installed my mudflaps

Worked on the car tonight, fixed some bobo ass wring and got all my lights working!

all my interior parts i got from the yard on monday! (even door handles!)

and rear seat belts in mint shape, with a heat shield

also got the other bumper lens (i need to get the housing tho, the JDM ones dont have the amber reflector in it)

FINALLY corner lights (no they dont blink cause the JDM ones dont)

YAY all my lights work (the side marker and bumper light were on blink)

also for the people that dont know, im on new suspension (unfortunately i had to trade back after a week, but the function and form type1s were just to soft for my liking anyway)

fixed the “fall down” glove box (for those that witnessed the LULZ when i punched it)

seats will be switched out along with the rear seat belt soon (after i get the water leaks under control).

I haven’t been able to work on my car for a bit now cause ive been putting time in on friends cars, but i finally had a day to myself so i decided it was time to find the water leaks.

also pulled the auto slider belt rails since i have standard belts

So it looks like im on the hunt for a new moonroof ASAP, and going to talk to my friend about fabing up a bracket so i can fully mount the front belt mechanisms down, since they were done ghetto style, and would prob kill me in an accident from failure… also going to figure out the rust in the rear hatch and get that situated and taken care of. Also need to re-tap the bolt holes for the top part of the seat belt, cause again that was done completely wrong, and i also need to get the full set of spacers and washers for both sides of the belts on tops and bottoms so i can have them mounted like factory.

well i got fed up and pissed off with my shift linkage today so i fixed it!

also a perfect time to change my shifter because…

had one laying around so i freshened it up

so a lot of hondas get “shifter slop”, its because the nylon washers get worn down eventually and you cant tighten it down with the oem pin. The slop usually comes from this join right here

so how to fix that

grab your safety glasses

your trusty cutting tool

after cutting the top portion in sections and knocking them off with a chisel, youll be able to pop the pin out from the other side. end result you get this

go to the hardware store and pick up
M8x1.25x60

nylon washer (comes in a pack of 4, only going to use one, 2 is too much)

and a nylon locking nut for the bolt

put it all back together and walla no more shifter slop.

and the final product

prob doing a little more to it tomorrow as well.

switched my steering wheel in today

pulled the auto belt shit

and fixed my CEL with the other PR4 ecu i had laying around

the old burnt one

but now my trans is making some unhealthy noises so engine and oil change after dinner…

well changed the tranny oil… there was like… maybe a 1/4 of a quart in it… so thats all good and running well now, but now im afraid ive got a nasty tick and im in serious need of a valve lash adjustment…or its rod knock… there was no metal in the oil, but i havnt checked the new oil, seeing as i just put it in.

well picked up these

Started the day with draining the oil and making sure it wasnt knocking. after i got past that, i gathered parts like mad. by about 2pm i started working on the car.

dropped the oil pan and cleaned up and replaced the gasket, bolted it back on, and was good to go. Then went to the top of the car and took the valve cover off, all 7 bolts were ridiculously stripped so i rethreaded all the studs, and the nuts. Then i pulled the cam seal out and reapplied gasket maker to stop the leaking, and also replaced the §§§§§ o-ring cause that was shot to hell.

then i did the valve lash adjustment…holy shit was that thing out of spec. Someone didnt treat this motor well. when i pulled the cover it reflected how the oil looked, poor car. After i got the lash all set, i dug out my old A1 valve cover and cleaned it up and slapped the new gaskets on. got it all ready to mount on and realized i didnt have the fking nut grommets…

went to go pull the ones off the B1 cover…and SOMEONE fking 1/2 assed that shit. there were like 3, the rest were just squished rubber, or just metal caps… smh…

frantically hit up Efren and was able to bum the ones off the b20. Thanks again bro, ill order the new ones soon.

after i got back, i installed everything, and also my new spark plugs, also tried the PCV valve, but advance bullshit doesnt fit, and it didnt need it anyway. Finally bolted everything else back up, filled the oil up, and cranked her over. the motor noise was gone :), but i started noticing that it was smoking a lot from the bay… poped underneath and there was a FKING PUDDLE coming from the trans side…

so its already like 11pm, so i say fuck it and dropped it down AGAIN…fml. turned out when i pulled the old stiff ass gasket, it left 2 metal washers on the 2 studs for the main seal… so it wasnt bonding. After i got that all back up together and situated, filled her up AGAIN, and started her up AGAIN, and this time all was good :).

I want to do a leak down test and see if the valve seals are wearing out (which i think they are)

Also i replaced the ecu to get rid of the code, well this one is now throwing a code 43. I just looked it up and its saying fuel supply system? fuel pump is whining a bit… FML i cant win…

got all the upper interior pieces and side pieces, dome lights, oh shit handle, just missing the sunroof emergency cap, and the mirror cover

but is VERY repairable compared to my current one

tomorrow ill be stripping the whole sunroof down to bare frame and fiber glassing the rusted fail.

so since ill be putting the interior back together soon i decided i want to get rid of that pos “radio car style” antenna and replace it with a stubby 7inch so this will be ordered soon and replaced (not like the OEM one works anyway had to yank that mofo up)

Well i havent done any work to the DA for a bit. Drove her up north and back over the weekend. Did great on the way there and around the city up there. Get in the car to come home and the radio dies. awesomeness. Then i get home and code 1 pops up telling me O2 sensor (i laugh cause the sensor has been cut since i got the car lol). Then i start her up tonight to move her and she starts idle surging on me (either guessing IACV or a vacuum line is being retarded).

Also havent been able to put time into the sunroof, but ill be getting to that asap, as well as deciding to wrap my headliner (nothing too crazy) and the sun visors if i can get a good set other wise ill be without those for awhile longer. My spring break is coming up so i have a week to do w/e but I really wanted to use that time to fix some other peoples cars. Im going to try and bust ass on getting everything i need to do, and get the car back together in one piece asap.
