ive been busy as hell working on other peoples cars, spent the last 3 weekends working on a friends car. i spent this past weekend up there fixing his car and he went ahead and did my headliner for me.
also did the sun shade visor top and bottom (having a little fun with the suede)
and the install
1
2 (yes theres some rust at the windshield, that will be taken care of when i finally replace the windshield)
3 (had to get crafty with this side)
4 (that hinge will be reworked eventually seeing as its a PITA to rebuild)
and the sun shade visor
tested for leaks and i have 4 remaining. the drain tube exits on both rears, and tail light gaskets. all will be fixed soon (waiting on the taillights that i want)
left side is cleaned, the right side is not, what a difference.
and installed
i would say they look 100% better than what was in there before! (for those who saw them in person know how cracked and junk they were, not to mention leaked)
Hell of a thread man i love it. Props to all the work your puttin in, and as to your fav pic…Id say KEEP IT JASPER! haha :). Haha thanks man, Im located in south florida in broward. And yea keeping the garage clean is always difficult when you have parts scattered everywhere -_-.
Wow man the da’s really coming together.great work and thanks for the great updates.its a motivation to us all.
those 92 tails look sweeeet i bet.
Thank you man, Yea the tails look great, but i have to reseal them, and i need new gaskets too.

Did you pull down the whole sunroof assembly to do the visor cover?
Nope that was wax on them, i was able to get most of it off, it was dry white wax.
You dont have to pull the full sunroof down to do it, just pull the wind deflector off, then pull the glass out then the shade comes out, but i had a full assembly out in my garage when i did the suede on the cover to match the headliner so i had it all apart in pieces cause i was fixing the rust on it.
well i dropped the tank and installed a new walbro fuel pump today. Monday or tuesday im going to switch out the PR4 intake mani for the P75 one i have, as well as the fuel pressure regulator. just have to pick up a fuel gauge. Im also in the process of making my own ECU jumper harness. Im getting closer and closer to being able to convert to E85. Then the fun starts

Anyway i spent today indoors since ive been slightly off, and the pavers came and redid the driveway, so i couldnt do any work i wanted to.
So this is what i worked on
obd0 plugs removed
donor obd1 plugs
donor random jumper harness wires
obd1 all depined
everything cut to size (kicking myself now cause i need a few more of the obd0 pins…)
and the obd0 side all soldered and shrinked
back side
and where im at now. i missed 3 wires (2am write ups for wire charts never end well), so now i need a couple pins to finish this up. It was all heat shrinked sleeved but i had to remove it all :(.

So ive been sick for the past week, so i haven’t gotten any progress done on the teg, but i have been getting parts in, and im still waiting on some more things to come in.
replaced the front and rear brakes and flushed the lines so I have all new fluid too (new rotors and pads all around).
also i discovered i have a front camber kit, its one of these
And i also figured out why my driver side tire was wearing so shitty, turns out i almost lost the connection to the radius rod to the LCA. one of the bolts was missing, and the remaining bolt was loose. so i replaced the bolt and tightened the other one down. no more shaking steering wheel :).
i have much more to do in the next couple days. ill have it posted when i get to it.
I guess if that was the case, that makes sense. pulling the glass is just so easy I was wondering why some one would pull the hole sunfoor assembly.
good job on the jumper harness
Yea my sunroof was rusted at every corner and in the middle too (as you can see in the pics) so i went to the yard and picked up a full sunroof for 40 bucks brought it home and dismantled it so i could fix the few minor rust spots on it. i decided to wrap the liner since i didnt want to try and find a good decent one, but unfortunately i will be changing mine out, because since the old sunroof leaked so bad, the headliner has a permanet dip in it, that i thought i had fixed :-(.
so I decided to start working on my a/c system to get it up and working since the heat just isnt letting up and its only going to get worse. I had to start at the beginning of the system tho, at the controls because the temp knob didnt work, and the climate control was busted as well.
so i ripped all my front dash parts out.
so empty
since i had the cluster out i went ahead and installed the cf bezel i picked up.
and then i ripped apart the climate control to fit it
as you can see the joints of solder are broken which was why it wasnt working.
here it is re-soldered
and the next switch
and… the 16 other joints…
also decided to change my cluster and climate control bulbs to amber. i used orange sharpie on some fairly new bulbs i had.
i test fit it and made sure it all worked and looked good. I have to figure out why the cluster dimmer doesnt work still, but ill take a pic of it lit once ive got the car back together.
thanks man. a lot of working going into it, and more to put in lol.
went to the junkyard this morning to pick up a few things i needed.
got a few switches to replace my old faded ones.
found a 4 door DA, and got the rear handles!!
after the 5th DA, i finally found a mint ICU (out of the same 4 door!)
and found the rear hatch trim, im going to paint it tho since its so faded.
top part that faces out.
underside that faces in
also cleaned up the wiring from the alarm and pulled the few things out im going to use on the new alarm.
I installed the ICU and it fixed
the beeper when the keys in the ignition
the headlight on reminder when the headlights are on and the door open
the defogger switch works now (still have to repair the rear glass tho)
the problem with the defogger coming on and off with the wipers.
What still isnt fixed is
the wiper issue, only works on high speed
my tach still doesnt work
im pulling open the manual now to figure out what i need to do to fix the 2. I may just pull the wipers and say screw it, but i still want my tach to work :(.
And i didnt find a DA cluster bezel (well one but it was busted, someone is an ASSHOLE and took all of them from the yard, i hate fagots that do that). Good thing is im picking one up from a friend on here today hopefully.
yea the teg tips has helped me fix a lot of things on this car, id have spent so much more and prob being stuck with the same problem later down the road. I just need to figure out this dead tach problem and no wipers but high issue now.
