MY 93 GSR semi restore thread

Do you have before pics of the engine bay that are more clear? Looks like you cleaned up the dengy look pretty good, but I can’t be for sure without how it looked before.

Good stuff man. You didn’t pay a lot for those rims did you? If you did you got ripped off because they aren’t real volks.

really? how can you tell??

I have more crappy pics that is hard to tell as well. it was just really dirty, white was almost brown and there was caked oil in spots on the block etc…

So I took off the exhaust manifold heat shield to paint flat black and saw that the manifold was cracked…ordered header

cant get much of a better fix then that:) nice DB:up:

lol “replacement upgrades” thats kinda how i live too, what header did you order

well, I am not made of money and granted these cars are really rare…but it is still 20 years old and probably won’t be worth a ton of money later. I am not getting super nice/fancy parts. I am sure I will get some negative comments on my choices. I put a good amount of money into my daily driver, Si sedan.

I ordered a cheap $175 “S-RS” header. Not racing this GSR so don’t care about gains. Just figured why replace with stock heavy crap.

integra_hot…where in SC are you?

dude…there’s no need to explain…not everyone cares to put top notch parts on these cars…i only put money where it matters…y exhaust is $130 catback from ebay and i love it. i only put money where it matters, as its mainly a beater, but i want it nice

Because the lug nut holes line up with the spokes, on real one’s they do not line up. And the lip is kinda a give away.

well dayum…didn’t pay much so…took the stickers off. Don’t want to be a poser

updates:

installed the B&M ss last night, cleaned all the areas that had ps fluid and oil from the crazy leaks after I put in all new seals and gaskets, put the stock header back on…the one i got you have to notch the cross member and I dont want to get into that. If anyone wants to trade for a 4-2-1 two piece let me know.

everything is back together, need to bleed the ps, colaborate the new tps sensor, put coolant in, and start.

I put some cheap oil in for the initial start up, putting in some BG 109 and run for 15-30 min, drain then put the good oil in. Also doing the BG induction service at the dealership.
