My Build (Resto Mod, Daily Driver, Weekend Toy)

I can’t wait to see the finished product with the S2K cluster swap, gives the DA interior a fresh new look.

Nor I.
I need a new dash surround now, screwed mine up.

Alright, here’s the gauges all nice and installed.

I did a REALLY shitty job of making the gauge panel itself. I’m going to get a piece of CF to replace it with that will be cut to my exact dimensions. I’m also going to try and make it so I can use the hoods on the gauges this time.
I also need to pick up a new cluster bezel as I did a SUPER shitty job of trimming it for the gauges. Not to mention that I put an angle grinder through it. Plan to pick up one from a wrecker next we and then use a dremil to trim it out for the gauge panel.

It will look 100x better with a nice looking panel and bezel.

Oh and yes, there is an empty hole, a fuel pressure gauge will be going in there once I order it.

Better pictures of the gauges.

Most important part, videos!

Also put in a C-Pillar bar.

MOAR updates!
Grabbed some seats off a buddy, damn are these things comfortable. They are JDM CRX seats.

Need to find JDM DA6 rear seats then I’m gonna have them recovered, black with red stitching, don’t think I’ll be doing suede as that’s pricey and a bitch to up keep but we’ll see.

And now for the most important update of all, pictures speak for themselves.

That’s right y’all, a little LSVTAK! action is gonna happen. Gonna break the block down and have it hot tanked next week. Nothing else will happen with it till after Christmas though.

A tiny update, been working on getting my alarm ready for install.
I’ve had it for a while and wanted to do a stealth install. However I’m a cheap bastard and didn’t want to pay the price for a shop to do it. Since I’ve now become a bit of a wiring nut, I’ve decided to tackle it myself.

Everything broken out:

2 way pager, truck pop, shock sensor, 2 sirens, etc. I also plan to add a tilt sensor, glass breakage sensor and motion sensor. I’ve got to buy that stuff still.

The relays with all there functions burned into them. That way if one fails it’s easier to trouble shoot.

Here’s all the wiring and the brain after going through it and removing what I don’t need plus twisting some wires together.

Also I decided to slightly tint/smoke my spare tails and bumper turns. I’m pleased with the out come. They won’t go on till spring time.

Wow nice work on everything really looking forward to the S2000 cluster getting finished. I love that conversion.

Hope to have it in when I do the alarm.
We’ll see what happens.

Yo dude,

you intend to clear cloat your tails? It lasts longer if you do.

They are clear coated.

After 6 coffees it’s hard to hold the camera steady lol

I find the best way to bring out the shine in that tint is to use a little bit of rubbing compound after it has had a few days to dry before clear coat, and buff it up with your hand. When I did mine I used the turtle wax compound in the red container and they came out a VERY nice and glossy dark cherry red. I’m interested to see how your gauge’s bezel will turn out when you are done with it, I am pretty optimistic though keep up the good work man!

I could have done such a better job on the gauge bezel. I’m rather pissed off with myself that I did such a half ass job. Hopefully I’ll get it all patched up by spring time.

Sweet cauges man. where did you get the b16a from?

Was in the car when I bought it. One of the previous owners blew the B17A.

PIC Apex 10k front/8k rear and Blox Rear LCAs have been ordered.

BAM! PICs are here along with the Megan rear LCAs.

(sorry about the cell phone pics) Installing them this weekend.

not tryin to be a jerk-face, but have fun with the megan LCA’s…they dont exactly bolt right up to the sway bar…but you already knew that…

subscribed to this one, looking forward to the next update…Suspension next I guess?

Did not know that. I want some F7s but these are just a tie over for now.

Suspension is next. Still got more plans suspension wise.

oh, well then glad i chimed-in. yup, they have a hole drilled in them, kinda in the spot where your sway bar should mount, but it doesnt exactly bolt right-up. you have to shim out the bracket a bit, which, in my opinion, is not the right way to do it, and looks cheesy as well. the LCA’s are also shorter than stock, which, when paired with a non-adjustable lowering spring, actually raises the rear of the car. not cool. so i sold them, threw in ES bushings into the stock arms and called it a day.
