Here is how i got the car
Basically it was A b18a1 Stock with a turbo kit on and a upgrade fuel pump and injectors.
I got it in a trade and the owner told me it smoked but motor was still good. Well i replaced turbo thinking the seals went out and it still smoked, so i got a stock head from a junkyard took it to get machined and everything replaced and it still smoked. So after getting tired of this problem i decided to completly tear apart the block to build it. So now im am here and am lookin into what i should get for the build. This is my firsrt time with a piston motor i have always worked on rotary engines. So if anyone know what psitons, rods, etc… that i should get please let me know.
So much info about turbo B18A/B18Bs out there man. Searching will yield some good info, just have to sift through the BS.
For rods, Eagle is good, JE makes nice pistons.
First thing I would do is get rid of those crappy ricer gauges. Get a real Wideband O2 gauge like the AEM UGEO.
yeah, those suck
eagle rods are best bang for buck
je wiseco ross all good pistons for your setup
The autozone gauges where the first things gone .Im thinking of picking me up some of these gauges

i will have pics of how the car currently sits up soon. and im hoping to get a OEM rebuilt short block soon only 450!!Only picking this up tp get it running to have alittle fun while the Other motor continues to get built.
Block is going to machine shop hopefully by next week
Been awhile but project is back on track.
here is how the car looked 2 weeks ago when prep was done to body
Then painter layed down 3 coats of black
Car does not have clear coat yet it will be wet sanded and painted again due to fish eyes on some parts of the car.
Just picked up 2 new parts for the build about an hr ago
Hope to order my prosport boost gauge tonight or tomorrow
Update!! just picked up a Rev-hard cast turbo manifold pics will be uploaded tomorrow. Now on the hunt for my wastegate and intercooler piping
Subscribed… Will be interesting to see how this ends up. Good work bro thumbs up
don’t know if your converting to OBD1, but I am using the Tunerview display instead of gauges now. it’s a great display and plug and play, and cheap.
Nice Work.Ill be definitely converting to OBD1. Looking to use either the s200 or 300 on a OBD1 Pr4 ecu.
Progress today
Test fitted the intercooler and got it mounted
Getting ready to test it
Used a planet bucket to hold it up
Closer shots
Final product
Its hanging from hooks that are on a bolt that holds the headlights. you can see the silver hangers coming down on the sides of the intercooler.
what kind of interrcooler is that ? and what is the size ?
Dont know the size or brand of the intercooler but i can get some measurements soon.
I did receive my intercooler piping on Friday got it cut up and ready for welding on Monday pics tommrow
Ran into a little problem while installing my piping. Wondering if the reservoir for the power steering could be moved and if it can anyone got pictures of where you moved your too?
You can always remove the power steering… as for moving it, you should be able to move it anywhere so long as you keep it above the level of the pump, just use some hose from Autozone.
Good to see someone in GP still working on the G2s… I am done with mine and it serves as a tow vehicle for a trailer now…
