My DA Project Ver.II

Well guys, I was initially going to drop my lsv I’m building into my white DA, but i found something else… for a good deal, I think.
Picked up a 92 ls for 1500, and its starting to get some surface rust bubbling. Compared to my white one, this is CLEAN. New paint, a fender, and other parts swapped over and its good to go! So heres Ver.II
92ls chassis with 242,xxx.
97ls head mileage unknown
Dropped on some sleeves, unknown brand, springs are rusted as hell
Short ram intake

I swapped over my clean 92-93 tails, onepiece headlights, and amber bumper lights. Also put on the HFP Fit wheels from the white one.
Other than that, i put in new plugs n wires, new battery, and did an oil change and ran some seafoam. Oh, put the mudflaps on too lol.
Waiting on some paint, then im taking the drivers fender from the white one and painting it and puttin it on. Maybe the rear bumper too, as its got alot less damage.

It also came with an ls block, with golden eagle lsv kit and CTR pistons.

Got a few look good stuff comin thursday! Til then, I think I’m going to do a tuck with the headlight harnesses…

Looks like a good start, and you got extra goodies for 1500…good deal bro good luck with build

Thanks man. Yea for 1500 with no major rust ANYWHERE I had to grab it… just wanna get the outside straight and then finish up my build. Just needs bearings and an oil pump, some new gaskets, and a distributor!

very nice. ive got a used dist. king distributor that im about to put up in the for sale forum. less then a year old and only about a 3000 miles on it! looking to get $75. Email me if your interested.

Well I did some brakes, got some parts in the other day. I’m in the process of starting to clean up all the paint bubbling.

Tomorrow I’m gonna re grease the speedo cable… she’s makin some noise…

what wheels are those?

Theres your answer

Yep. Honda Fit HFP wheels.

Ordered exhaust for it today, excited about that. Waiting for some last parts to come in for my lsv that’s gettin put in… I also started doin a lil sanding and cleaning up the bubbles!

A wee bit of an update… been a while.
The exhaust I ordered ended up being special order and would take around 2 months… so I canceled. Finished building my motor!
Took care of some rust on the car, removed the antenna.
And today I started pulling the harnesses and gettin ready for a tuck and swap!
Now… pics!

Sprayed and coated the hatch

Harnesses pulled

Gettin ready for this =]

What did you coat the hatch with? I have a few holes to patch that the PO put in mine to hang the exhaust with speaker wire. Then i was thinking coating with that stuff they spray on truck beds.

Great pick up BTW. Love the red.

Yea I just hit it with some rubberized undercoating then sprayed over it.
I’m getting water leaking in whenever it rains, and I didn’t want it to rust out, which is why I went with the rubber

Looks great so far!

I like the idea of coating the hatch area. I may have to do that some day when I build up some ambition haha

Thanks, I like the way it turned out. Same with the color too… I know its a Ford color, can’t remember exactly. But I plan on spraying the engine bay the same color =]

Here’s a lil update for y’all. Been having some fun with it =]

Pulled out the old ls. Finished the tuck… well just a few wires I still need to wrap still. And got the bay painted.

And… finally got my header

Damn, its been a while since I’ve been on here! Figure I’d give this an update… The swap is done, had some issues with timing, broke the starter, snapped a valve and pierced a piston, all new valves again, ordered a single slug, gone through 2 ecu’s, and now its runnin no problems. Already got about 1500 on her, vtec kicks nice n hard, pretty loud crossover. Now I’m just waiting to get in for a tune.

Some of the fail

options

with the power steering not hooked up due to wrong brackets, the pads are for the mass amounts of ps fluid she leaks…
i recently got the right brackets, and now am stuck getting the pulley bolt out!

FIN

Well, she’s getting tuned tomorrow morning! I’ll post up results and try to get a vid or photo of the chart.

how well does that header clear the stock fans, and ac lines??

if you haven’t figured it out by now, the pulley bolt for the ps is a “special” one. remember righty tightly, lefty loosey? it’s the opposite.
